Position Overview
We are seeking a multi-skilled, dynamic Retail Construction Project Manager to join our North American property infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the Head of North America Property, you will lead the end-to-end execution of retail shop fit-outs, new store constructions, major structural refits, and facility maintenance schedules across the United States. This role sits at the intersection of creative design, budget management, and physical craftsmanship, demanding a hands-on technical leader who can effortlessly collaborate with designers, parse blueprints, control Capex forecasts, and physically assist with interior store assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Retail Construction Leadership: Manage the project organization, timeline, and build quality for specialty shop fit-outs, phased configurations, refreshes, asset decommissioning, and store closures.
- Capex & Budget Optimization: Govern regional construction expenditure, formulate precise project estimates, verify actual contractor billings, and distribute updated Capex forecasting models.
- Plan Representation Interpretation: Masterfully interpret and explain complex engineering schematics, encompassing M.E.P (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) plans, architectural blueprints, and structural designs.
- Hands-On Onsite Support: Provide direct, manual assistance and physical installation support for corporate furniture arrays, complex carpentry pieces, and structural millwork during live store openings and refit gates.
- Cross-Functional Operations Synchronization: Coordinate schedules closely across real estate leasing branches, external contractors, regional store leads, design teams, and internal finance controllers.
- Eco-Friendly Project Governance: Enforce strict brand ethics regarding green materials, recycling compliance, and waste mitigation to ensure building processes align with sustainability frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of verified professional history running retail construction, store development, or commercial real estate project management within specialty store networks, shopping malls, or major metropolitan streets.
- Demonstrated experience stepping into technical project lead tracks, driving multi-tiered teams through strict construction deadlines.
- Deep practical literacy parsing, auditing, and executing complex architectural layouts, floor plans, and material requirements.
- Physical capability and willingness to manage hands-on installation tasks, assembly, and custom carpentry adjustments on-site.
- Outstanding cross-functional relationship management and verbal/written communication mechanics.
- Location Context: 100% remote-first workspace infrastructure model open exclusively to qualified technical leads permanently based in the United States.
- Mobility Mandate: Possession of a valid passport and full flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally across North America to monitor active job sites.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Active industry-standard certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED accreditation templates.
- Demonstrated knowledge or structural background handling carpentry systems, architectural millwork, and custom retail layout design.
- Software fluency navigating AutoCAD, Concur asset management, and enterprise Google Workspace platforms.
What We Offer
- Targeted Annual Base Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 USD per annum (Calibrated transparently based on successful geographic coordinates, interview assessment patterns, and market medians).
- Full eligibility to participate in lucrative corporate bonus programs and total reward options.
- The exceptional opportunity to steer eco-conscious construction workflows for a global beauty and environmental advocacy trailblazer.
- Flexible full-time remote operation parameters paired with structured travel stipends across major North American metropolitan hubs.
