Led directly by NHS GP, Founder, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anshu Bhagat, our multidisciplinary medical groups utilize innovative cloud-based technologies to radically improve consumer accessibility inside homes, digital workplaces, and local communities. Encompassing online consultations, dynamic blood testing, mental health triages, and audiology services, GPDQ connects vetted, GMC-registered clinicians with patients seamlessly.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, clinically autonomous Remote General Practitioner (GP) to join our expanding digital clinical network in a flexible Locum capacity. In this critical healthcare delivery seat, you will focus on managing weekend-only virtual consultation sessions, providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care to private, corporate, and insurance patients across the UK. Presenting an exceptional path to establish a broad, varied portfolio career, you will consult on a wide spectrum of acute primary care conditions under the technical protection of an experienced Service Delivery Team. This role demands an adaptable clinician who brings strong IT literacy and thrives within an innovative, remote-first healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Virtual Clinical Consultations: Lead remote video and audio consultations, evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a comprehensive spectrum of general practice presentations and acute conditions.
- Patient-Centered Primary Care: Deliver evidence-based medical advice, manage digital prescription routing, and direct urgent secondary or tertiary care escalations when clinically indicated.
- High-Volume Queue Triage: Take full operational ownership of assigned weekend slots, efficiently prioritizing patient workflows between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00.
- Multi-Stream Portfolio Tracking: Support diverse healthcare workstreams, cross-operating between corporate health assessments, private consumer consultations, and regional NHS clinic lines.
- Electronic Health Record Governance: Maintain precise, legally defensible, and structured patient case logs within centralized medical software systems, enforcing strict data confidentiality boundaries.
- Service Delivery Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the GPDQ technical support and administrative service teams to resolve system friction and optimize remote appointment delivery loops.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full, unencumbered active registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the United Kingdom.
- A minimum of 2 years of verified professional post-CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) history operating within general practice.
- Demonstrated history of clinical excellence, with the confidence to handle acute diagnostic choices remotely over video and digital chat frameworks.
- Strong computer literacy, with a solid capability to navigate complex electronic health records, virtual booking portals, and corporate communication tools.
- Verified right to work inside the United Kingdom, paired with a personal commitment to execute at least 12 hours across the weekend.
- Location Context: 100% remote-first flexible contract framework open exclusively to general practitioners permanently located anywhere inside the United Kingdom.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior commercial history conducting telemedicine consultations, digital health triages, or corporate occupational health assessments.
- Familiarity with collaborative multidisciplinary primary care lines, including corporate wellness models, private insurance frameworks, and collaborative NHS clinical setups.
What We Offer
- The exceptional clinical canvas to build a highly flexible, remote portfolio career without compromising your existing weekday medical or lifestyle commitments.
- Highly competitive hourly contract rates matched with absolute clinical autonomy over your digital consultation room.
- Complete schedule configuration power, letting you distribute your weekend hours flexibly across our comprehensive 08:00 to 22:00 operational timeline.
- Access to robust, continuous clinical support channels and diverse cross-functional paths spanning private, corporate, and NHS wellness models.
