Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and AI-forward Quality Automation Architect to lead the comprehensive technical modernization of our software quality management ecosystems under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across the United States. Operating inside a heavily regulated, high-stakes licensed money transmitter environment, you will transition our engineering organization away from a traditional gatekeeper validation model to an elite, decentralized shared ownership paradigm. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative transcription data logs, generic promotional content writing, or manual data entry spreadsheet updates, you will run an active agentic AI testing framework, continuous integration gatekeeping, and multi-agent code analysis laboratory. As our development pods lean heavily into agentic AI toolchains to produce software rapidly, you will architect a fully automated, high-velocity test execution framework capable of keeping pace with AI-accelerated code generation. This position requires a quality engineering authority with 7+ years of hands-on technical history who structures automated regressions fluidly natively using QA Engineer and backend primitives, commands production experience in Ruby or Go codebases, masters automated sandbox orchestration, and navigates complex compliance mandates with empathy and data-driven change leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Quality Strategy Governance: Define, architect, and deliver the overarching technical blueprint to modernize code verification processes across our global engineering organization natively utilizing QA Engineer methodologies.
  • Agentic SDLC Instrumentation: Propose, develop, and implement bleeding-edge quality workflows, verification parameters, and testing toolchains explicitly optimized for agentic AI software development lifecycles.
  • Modern Test Pyramid Architecture: Design and enforce a modern multi-tier test pyramid, creating crystal-clear boundary guidelines and ownership metrics for unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, and exploratory layers.
  • Multi-Agent Scenario Discovery: Leverage advanced agentic AI capabilities and prompt engineering frameworks to build autonomous systems for automated test generation, test discovery, and multi-agent analysis of machine-generated code.
  • Test Data Portfolio Management: Formulate scalable strategies for automated test data management—orchestrating seed records, dynamic synthetic datasets, service virtualization patterns, and production-like test isolation boundaries.
  • Risk-Based CI/CD Gatekeeping: Build, implement, and protect fully automated, risk-based quality gates integrated directly into our CI/CD pipelines to guarantee that a green build is perfectly safe for immediate production deployment.
  • Fast-Rollback Smoke Verification: Optimize sandbox execution layers and automated post-deployment production smoke testing to establish rapid, high-reliability verification loops supporting aggressive rollback pipelines.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Metrics: Partner directly with Product Development, Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SGRC) cells to track and report critical quality telemetry, including defect escape ratios and test signal latencies.
  • Technical Change Mentorship: Guide, teach, and mentor QA engineers, developers, and engineering directors through hands-on pairing sessions, structured architecture reviews, and interactive workshops to cultivate a broad quality ownership culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7+ years of proven, successful professional history operating inside a Quality Automation Architect, Lead Software Engineer in Test (SET), Principal QA Architect, Distributed Systems Test Engineer, or closely matching technical infrastructure capacity.
  • Mandatory Programming Language Literacy: Direct, production-grade development familiarity operating within Ruby or Go codebases, demonstrating full technical capability to read, refactor, and audit application code boundaries.
  • Frontline Agentic Workflow Competency: Substantial, hands-on experience designing and working alongside agentic software development pipelines, AI prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestrators, and adjacent AI coding accelerators.
  • Proven record leading large-scale transformational engineering projects and structural change management inside sensitive, high-complexity systems saddled with significant compliance or regulatory obligations.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and analytical presentation communication strengths in English, with an established history of securing organization-wide buy-in for transformational technical initiatives without relying on abstract authority lines.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified quality engineering leaders residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience or direct architectural exposure engineering automated test frameworks inside the high-volume financial technology, payment processing, or regulated iGaming/betting sectors.
  • Familiarity with contract testing methodologies, automated microservices isolation patterns, or real-time event-driven messaging validation strategies.
  • Possess a formal Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a matching quantitative domain.

What We Offer

  • Top-Tier US FinTech Architecture Compensation: A highly competitive annual base salary structure of $205,000 - $260,000 USD calibrated to your automation history, supplemented by lucrative corporate stock option grants with standard startup vesting schedules.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy anywhere within the United States, allowing you to drive absolute technical change from your dedicated home workstation.
  • Direct High-Stakes Financial Impact: Elite professional credentials built by engineering the automated quality guardrails protecting a financial platform processing billions for thousands of enterprise brands.
  • Comprehensive health preservation benefits, providing 100% company-covered premium medical, dental, and vision insurance options for employees, along with company-sponsored life and disability coverages.
  • Access to an outstanding remote enablement package featuring a $50 monthly communication stipend, a $250 WFH setup allowance, physical equipment reimbursements ($400 for a monitor, $200 for mouse/keyboard), paid parental bonding leave, 13 scheduled company holidays, volunteer time off, and a flexible time-off framework (typically averaging 3-4 weeks annually).
