About Keypath Education: Keypath Education is a global EdTech leader and online program management pioneer, on an ambitious mission to transform lives through education. Partnering with top-tier universities across Australia and Southeast Asia, Keypath designs, builds, and delivers innovative online degree programs that tackle real-world challenges. Our collaborative, high-performing international team unifies advanced student telemetry with scalable digital solution ecosystems, establishing a people-first culture focused on high quality and commercial operational excellence.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, collaborative, and process-oriented QA Engineer to maintain, optimize, and expand automated test suites and support high-stakes system releases under a permanent, full-time fully remote configuration in Australia (reporting into our Keypath Melbourne office). In this critical software quality seat, you will be the absolute technical owner ensuring the scalability and reliability of our web applications throughout full release cycles. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data transcription loops, entry-level website text updates, or general admin support logs, you will operate an active continuous integration (CI/CD) quality gate development, multi-platform regression testing, and automated tool-orchestration laboratory. Partnering directly beside developers, product managers, and data engineers, you will embed quality best practices and root-cause analysis loops into the software development lifecycle. This position requires a test authority with a solid background in manual and automated web environments who maps user actions fluidly natively using QA Engineer and DevOps primitives, commands complete comfort with REST APIs, and enforces data integrity across compliance structures like SOC 2 independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Design & Governance: Formulate, coordinate, and execute comprehensive test strategies across multiple concurrent digital builds—enserving total coverage across functional, integration, and regression vectors natively utilizing QA Engineer best practices.
- CI/CD Pipeline Quality Automation: Inject, expand, and maintain regression-safe automated scripts within deployment infrastructure networks natively leveraging DevOps primitives to eliminate shipping defects.
- API Testing and Telemetry Auditing: Validate backend system interactions and verify service structures across integrated application landscapes, managing queries and processing validations using Postman and SQL databases.
- End-to-End Defect Triage Management: Discover, isolate, track, and manage bugs from discovery through closure, executing deep data-flow traces and root cause analysis (RCA) to maximize delivery speed.
- Accessibility & Web Standards Compliance: Enforce ironclad user-experience guidelines, systematically validating web systems (HTML, CSS, JavaScript layouts) against WCAG accessibility standards.
- Governance, Risk, and SOC 2 Maintenance: Maintain pristine technical QA documentation, test configurations, and environment maps to satisfy rigid institutional audit and compliance requirements (including SOC 2 frameworks).
- Release Validation Leadership: Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for staging and live release validation windows, coordinating close-knit alongside engineering squads to mitigate launch risks.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and operationalize automation milestones to systematically decrease manual verification overhead, optimizing test script execution layers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional software development track record operating as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Automated Tester, SDET, Test Analyst, or closely matching tech-enabled quality verification capacity.
- Expert Quality Suite Command: Meticulous hands-on background developing and executing test plans within modern CI/CD automation software ecosystems natively utilizing Katalon (or closely matching automation suites).
- Deep working literacy managing web infrastructure technologies (specifically HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs) paired with work tracking platforms such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong capabilities using database utilities, including the capacity to independently query, manipulate, and trace data records natively leveraging SQL.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and textual communication strengths in English, with an established history authoring structured, high-quality test documentation and defect reports.
- Location & Legal Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified QA authorities who reside permanently inside and possess full working rights within Australia.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior platform or testing background operating directly inside the global EdTech sector, cloud e-commerce marketplaces, or regulated audit-controlled system layers.
- Direct operational familiarity running automated high-concurrency security, performance, or load-stress testing scripts.
- An adaptable, detail-oriented performer persona characterized by a strong analytical focus, a people-first mindset, and an excitement for proactive risk prevention.
What We Offer
- Competitive Australian EdTech Engineering Remuneration Matrix: A highly competitive annual total salary package calibrated precisely to your automation pedigree and test script velocity, supplemented by comprehensive wellness allowances.
- 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy open throughout Australia via our flexible “Work Anywhere” model, removing mandatory physical commute roadblocks.
- Front-Row Educational Platform Footprint: Elite professional landmarks achieved by single-handedly architecting the test pipelines and quality gates that power online degree pathways for leading global universities.
- Access to robust career evolution channels, inclusive of unlimited entry to LinkedIn Learning development programs and structured internal coaching models.
- Access to a people-first corporate environment offering a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP), regular team events, enterprise IT hardware provisions, and inclusive, employee-led culture initiatives designed to help you reach your full potential safely.
