Summary of PositionThe Purchasing Coordinator II is responsible for performing advanced work in support of daily purchasing operations. This role involves processing complex orders, mentoring Purchasing Coordinators, and resolving a wide range of technical and financial issues related to orders and clean invoicing.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary processor of complex company purchase orders and handle exceptions within the Purchasing department
- Train and develop Purchasing Coordinators by acting as a mentor
- Conduct regular reviews of large vendor purchase orders and communicate any issues to the project team
- Help maintain organization of order requests in the Purchasing inbox within Kayako
- Follow up with project teams and vendors on pending change orders to prevent order errors and payment collection delays
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve complex job issues and clear financial variances to ensure clean and timely invoicing
- Work closely with project teams to produce timely and accurate change orders
- Create departmental forms and training guides for internal and external use
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
