The Role
The Project Manager (PM) oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, client expectations, and quality standards. The PM serves as a central point of communication between stakeholders and project teams, manages resources effectively, mitigates risks, and drives continuous process improvement to maximize the success and profitability of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, deliverables, tasks, timelines, and charters; develop comprehensive project plans in MS Project and Excel aligned with client and organizational requirements.
- Monitor progress against plans, adjust timelines and resources as needed, ensure high-quality delivery, and manage project closure activities including documentation, postmortems, and lessons learned.
- Allocate tasks, assign backup resources, provide guidance and direction to team members, and ensure efficient utilization of internal and external project resources.
- Identify root causes of issues, develop effective resolutions, and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans to prevent project delays or obstacles.
- Serve as the central point of contact for project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders; provide regular updates, schedule and facilitate meetings, and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Manage project-related Teams sites, PMO meetings, and documentation; maintain organized and accurate records of all project communications and materials.
- Perform other related duties as required, including coordination with external stakeholders, vendors, or partners.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, project management, or a related field.
- Experience delivering technology solutions within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, ideally within trade promotion management (TPM).
- 3–5 years of experience managing technical client-facing projects within the CPG industry, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders, project scope, resources, schedules, and communications effectively.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira and Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating with technical teams, clients, and vendors.
Nice-to-haves:
- Project management certification such as PMP or CAPM.
- A Master’s degree in business, project management, or a related field.
- Experience managing projects in SaaS, technology, or client-facing consulting environments.
Additional Information
Must reside in the US—preferably in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic Regions. Remote work permitted. Occasionally, travel may be needed based on client, project, or business need. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. This is a full-time position with benefits.
