About Mariner Wealth Advisors: Mariner Wealth Advisors is a premier national financial services leader dedicated to helping businesses, individuals, and institutions reach their peak potential by powering strategies with trusted wealth insights. We design innovative wealth management and institutional retirement plan solutions that simplify complex investment frameworks. Operating across the crossroads of wealth strategy, advanced operations, and advisory fulfillment, our teams bridge the gap between retirement plan participants and dedicated advisory channels. Mariner cultivates a highly innovative, collaborative workplace that values progressive career opportunities, teamwork, and a supportive culture focused on helping associates achieve their professional goals.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and process-oriented Product & Platform Manager to drive the strategy, governance, and technology implementation of the platforms powering our Institutional Business under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across the United States. In this high-leverage software management and advisor enablement seat, you will serve as the principal product owner for the institutional technology stack—encompassing Salesforce CRM, participant education ecosystems, and integrated retirement-to-wealth referral workflows. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated customer service phone loops, basic styling fixes, or general database data entry, you will operate an active multi-tier change management, CRM automation, and database integration laboratory. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Platform, and partnering close-knit neben Retirement Plan Consultants and Wealth Advisors, you will turn high-level data objectives into actionable operational tools. This position requires a platform engineering veteran with 5–8 years of technology operations history who handles application ecosystems fluidly natively using Project Management, Research, and Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with complex Salesforce configurations, and influences cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Platform Governance: Serve as the definitive internal product owner for the institutional technology stack, orchestrating release cycles, user provisioning, and data change controls natively utilizing Project Management guidelines.
  • Salesforce CRM Customization: Lead the configuration, workflow optimization, and custom dashboard development for the institutional sales division, building programmatic triggers to capture conversion metrics and pipeline progression.
  • Referral Ecosystem Instrumentation: Design and calibrate automated technology touchpoints throughout the retirement-to-wealth journey, setting up systematic notification pipelines, data rules, and advisory notifications.
  • Integration & Data Integrity Control: Coordinate and review middleware requirements, API data paths, and recordkeeper integrations alongside IT cells to secure clean data records natively deploying Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Vendor Strategy Research: Manage software vendor relationships, audit software budgets, evaluate emerging digital tools, and author formal build-versus-buy recommendations natively leveraging Research frameworks.
  • Change Management and Adoption: Drive platform adoption across consultants, wealth advisors, and operations teams by building structured runbooks, documentation libraries, and conducting interactive tool trainings.
  • Telemetry Metric Analytics: Track and analyze core performance indicators (KPIs)—including referral cycle durations, platform uptime percentages, data quality integrity scores, and software ROI.
  • Compliance Data Triage: Collaborate beside compliance, risk management, and legal entities to ensure all participant education materials and user data permission protocols remain strictly aligned with financial regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5–8 years of proven, successful professional experience operating within a product management, platform ownership, or technology operations capacity.
  • Expert Financial Platform Command: Meticulous practical experience managing software infrastructures explicitly inside the wealth management, institutional retirement, consumer banking, or financial services sectors.
  • Hands-on technical background configuring, managing, and customizing Salesforce CRM objects, page layouts, and integrations (Salesforce Admin Certification is highly preferred).
  • Grounded functional comprehension of retirement plan ecosystems, recordkeepers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and advisor workflow dynamics.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and textual presentation communication strengths in English, with a documented history delivering scannable technology runbooks and guiding cross-functional corporate teams without direct authority.
  • Location Context: Position operates under 100% remote parameters open exclusively to qualified full-stack software product and platform authorities residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior platform or consulting history optimizing digital financial wellness software or participant education networks.
  • Direct operational familiarity manipulating API endpoints, data pipelines, or automated ETL verification layers (formal software engineering background is not required).
  • An adaptable, systems-thinking persona characterized by an execution-oriented focus, strong metric instincts, and a passion for managing organizational change within relationship-driven firms.

What We Offer

  • Top-Tier United States Wealth Tech Leadership Remuneration: A highly competitive annual target base salary scale of $95,000 — $206,000 USD calibrated precisely to your individual geographic market, systems pedigree, and closing velocity, supplemented by incentive bonus program eligibility.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure freedom anywhere within the United States, granting you absolute calendar ownership over your professional schedule.
  • High-Leverage Platform Impact: Elite professional growth checkpoints achieved by single-handedly blueprinting the data structures, referral networks, and CRM engines driving one of the firm’s most critical strategic growth initiatives.
  • Comprehensive health preservation, medical coverage, and employee well-being setups aligned tightly to market-leading technology baselines.
  • Access to an innovative workplace that actively fosters camaraderie, balanced teamwork, progressive internal career advancement tracks, and a dedicated culture built around giving back to local communities.
