Position Overview

Stable builds next-generation digital products sitting directly at the junction of high-fidelity software and real-world physical operations. As the foundational first Product Operations hire, you will bridge the gap between engineering excellence and manual operational workflows. This is a high-impact individual contributor role optimized for creative operationalists who can take messy, manual legacy structures and scale them into durable, AI-assisted platform systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Delivery Operationalization: Support the Product team by managing complex compliance processes including entity paperwork filings, computer vision data verification edge cases, and failed financial check deposits.
• Regulatory & Vendor Governance: Oversee product-facing partnerships with financial institutions, third-party service providers, and regional mail networks to ensure robust USPS compliance.
• Internal Tooling Optimization: Build and iterate on internal tooling and dashboards using Retool, while defining how our customer experience (CX) squads utilize automated AI models.
• Product Velocity Acceleration: Own early-stage manual operational flows to transition core feature rollouts safely from MVP to General Availability (GA).
• Data Analysis & Instrumentation: Track platform behavioral metrics via data instrumentation platforms, establish operational KPIs, analyze user cohorts, and deploy workflow experiments to actively move conversion targets.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Partner alongside Finance and Legal divisions to enforce our platform stance on transaction risk, optimizing KYB (Know Your Business) and security verification protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a product-facing or operations-driven role (Product Manager, Business Operations, Software Engineer, or related field).
• Hands-on practical experience building software or contributing to application logic.
• Excellent communication and project management mechanics, with a proven ability to bring structure to highly fluid, early-stage environments.
• Comfortable operating inside a fast-paced tech startup, balancing rapid, short-term wins alongside systemic long-term roadmap growth.
• Tech Stack Alignment: Exposure or willingness to work across our tool environments: MySQL, Metabase, Claude, PostHog, React, TypeScript, and Retool.
• Location Constraint: Fully remote setup, but candidates must be completely authorized to operate within US time zones (GMT-5 to GMT-10 boundaries).

Preferred Assets (Nice to Have)

• Strong functional experience writing SQL queries and navigating web analytics suites like PostHog or Amplitude.
• Prior background navigating early-stage startups or zero-to-one product launch mechanics.
