Position Overview

We are seeking a highly sophisticated, systems-minded Product Engineer to join our core Platform and Customer Lifecycle engineering division. This role is open to a flexible 100% remote work structure for candidates permanently based in Spain, or a collaborative hybrid workspace structure out of our office hubs in Estonia. In this high-trust full-stack seat, you will help build, refactor, and scale the core transactional engines that get every solopreneur seamlessly onboarded, activated, subscribed, and supported across their entire business lifecycle. This position demands a seasoned backend developer who loves taking full ownership of end-to-end solutions, excels at building high-throughput third-party integrations, and proactively considers agentic developer workflows to amplify software delivery speed and data correctness.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Lifecycle Software Engineering: Design, build, and optimize robust backend microservices and customer-facing interfaces that power the primary acquisition, onboarding, subscription, and billing tracks of the platform.
• Spring Boot API Architecture: Model and maintain highly available, secure server-side applications and workflow automations natively utilizing Java 21+ and the Spring Boot framework.
• Third-Party Vendor Integration: Program, test, and expand resilient custom API endpoints connecting our data core with corporate CRMs, internal entitlement directories, digital payment gateways, and identity/KYC providers.
• Relational Database Engineering: Code complex, high-performance database schemas and optimize transaction query pools under real user load parameters natively using PostgreSQL.
• Full-Stack Interface Evolution: Support full-stack features using Spring MVC, HTML5, and SASS, while collaborating on mid-term architectural migrations toward interactive React frontend frameworks.
• System Observability Optimization: Increase corporate platform uptime and continuous reliability by configuring custom logging, metric trackers, and tracking dashboards via Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Shared Framework Governance: Review technical specifications and contribute to the shared library ecosystems and framework guidelines that your team maintains for the broader global engineering group.
• Cross-Functional Alignment Loops: Partner directly alongside internal Product Managers, UI/UX designers, and legal stakeholders to translate intricate jurisdictional and compliance rules into frictionless software workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven professional software engineering history running enterprise application development, backend system design, or distributed cloud data pipeline delivery.
• Deep, authoritative technical command writing clean code and scaling business features natively inside production Java and Spring Boot environments.
• Hands-on operational track record building customer-facing lifecycle systems, comprehensively spanning user onboarding flows, activation loops, subscription billing models, or complex CRM integrations.
• Solid quantitative data literacy with strong experience in SQL execution, physical data modeling, and performance tuning relational databases.
• Startup or scale-up cultural alignment, showing a high level of comfort navigating evolving priorities and claiming direct accountability for production code outputs.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with an absolute capacity to analyze product success metrics and compile application summaries in fluent English.
• Location Context: Parameters are calibrated open to qualified full-stack software engineers permanently located as Remote in Spain or Hybrid in Estonia.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with alternative full-stack scripting tools or complementary languages, specifically Python and React layout libraries.
• Direct experience deploying and optimizing microservices natively inside cloud architectures, focusing on AWS (including EKS, S3, Lambda, or Textract).
• Practical exposure to asynchronous message brokers like Apache Pulsar, vector storage engines like Weaviate, or infrastructure as code via Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Active personal habit of exploring next-generation AI coding tools, generative utilities, or prompt engineering frameworks to accelerate debugging velocity safely.
