Proactive Technical Alignment Engineer (TAE)

About the Role: GXA is seeking a Proactive Technical Alignment Engineer (TAE) to serve as the disciplined guardian of GXA's technical standards. This behind-the-scenes role ensures client environments remain aligned, secure, and predictable, providing the robust technical foundation for vCTOs to focus on strategy and growth.

What You'll Do

• Perform recurring health checks across clients using RMM and monitoring tools to detect misalignments in firewalls, backups, and server health.
• Ensure proactive alignment across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure, and Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Review and manage networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, Firewalls, VPNs) and endpoint management (Intune, Conditional Access).
• Maintain and improve documentation in IT Glue and Autotask, creating a "single source of truth".
• Handle support escalations requiring L3/L4 technical knowledge.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of IT systems/network engineering at an L4 level.
• Advanced expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure, Virtualization, and Networking.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-isolation skills.
• A methodical, detail-oriented, and disciplined approach to documentation and technical standards.
• Bonus: Familiarity with RMM tools (Kaseya, N-able) and certifications like CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure/M365 Fundamentals, or CCNA.
