Principal UX Designer

About the Role: At Bluehost, we believe all small businesses deserve the opportunity to succeed online. We are seeking a Principal UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences across our diverse product portfolios and portals. You will drive UX strategy, mentor designers, and ensure high-quality design execution that aligns with business objectives and user needs.

What You'll Do

• Own UX design end-to-end for Bluehost Group portal surfaces including post-login experiences.
• Drive design decisions from customer problem through hi-fi deliverable, including journey mapping and dev-ready handoff.
• Contribute actively to the Bluehost design system by authoring reusable components and interaction patterns.
• Embed AI tools into your design workflow for layout ideation, UX copy generation, and competitive research.
• Partner with PMs, engineering, and CX research to deliver experiences that drive activation, engagement, and retention.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of UX/product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex logged-in or SaaS product surfaces.
• Deep expertise in modern design system tooling and design-to-code workflows (Claude Design, Figma MCP, Cursor).
• Strong systems thinker who designs patterns, not just screens.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present design decisions to senior leadership clearly.
• Bonus: Experience designing for web hosting, CMS, or SMB-facing products.
