About The Role
Galileo is seeking culturally sensitive clinicians to provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care via asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video. This role involves:
- Delivering best-in-class care for patients managing complex and chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, mental health) through Galileo’s proprietary app and technology.
- Offering compassionate, empathetic care to patients aged 0-100, including those with complex chronic conditions.
- Working with a diverse patient population in an inclusive, culturally sensitive environment.
- Solving patient problems efficiently by collaborating with team members and leveraging expertise.
How We Work
Galileo operates as a 24/7 medical group with 4-hour shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight) on weekdays and weekends. A minimum of 14 hours/week is required, with full-time eligibility at 24+ hours/week. Providers must work at least two 4-hour shifts per weekend. This role is based in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone and requires evening hours on Saturdays and during the week.
Compensation
$140/hour (regular rate) and $150/hour (premium rate).

Required:
- 4+ years of clinical experience post-residency in complex care, chronic care management, or primary care.
- Experience with or interest in digital-first healthcare (e.g., virtual medicine).
- Interest in innovative care models balancing evidence-based approaches with creative solutions.
- High comfort with technology for virtual patient care.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active state licensure in HI, CA, WA, or ability to obtain additional state licensures.
- Professional fluency in English/Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, cultural nuances) is a bonus.
