Job Summary:

BlackSky is seeking a paralegal to report to the company’s Associate General Counsel. This role will support the Legal Department and broader corporate initiatives by providing essential administrative and legal assistance. The position can be based at the Herndon, VA headquarters or fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the east coast/within EST. Limited travel to the Herndon office (once or twice a year) is required for corporate meetings and team-building activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support corporate governance activities and organize/maintain documentation.
• Assist with corporate filings and establishment/maintenance of domestic and international entities, including document maintenance and renewals.
• Provide administrative and audit support for SOX reporting and SEC filings.
• Offer administrative and dispute/litigation support to the Legal Department, including managing external counsel relationships as needed.
• Oversee issuance and tracking of non-disclosure agreements and commercial evaluation agreements.
• Support issuance of corporate and program-specific Purchase Orders (PO) and invoices via the Deltek system, providing monthly compliance reports.
• Issue, negotiate, and manage consultant agreements and renewal timelines.
• Assist in maintaining and updating electronic contract and legal files.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Paralegal studies certification required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
• Prior audit support experience.
• Experience with corporate governance.
• Experience with entity formation and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with SOX and SEC filings.
• Notary Public certification.
• Experience with US Government contracting support for a US or DOD Government contractor.
• Experience with foreign business registration and maintenance.
