At Trinetix we are looking for a skilled NOC Engineer. Join our team and collaborate with a global leader in connectivity, operating one of the world’s most reliable and extensive Internet backbones. With over 30 years of experience, this organization provides high-performance network infrastructure across more than 100 countries, supporting 2,900+ customers worldwide - including telecom operators, hyperscalers, cloud providers, and digital platforms.

Its network spans tens of thousands of kilometers of fiber, forming a critical part of the global Internet infrastructure and consistently ranking among the top-tier backbone providers worldwide. This is the kind of company that literally powers how the Internet works at scale.

At Trinetix, we partner with this organization to support and enhance its operations through modern engineering, process optimization, and AI-driven solutions. Our teams work closely with global stakeholders, contributing to large-scale initiatives that improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support business growth across international markets.

Required Skills:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment
  • Strong technical expertise in network troubleshooting across IP and/or transmission platforms
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, xWDM technologies
  • CCNP Enterprise level knowledge (for IP-focused roles) or equivalent practical experience
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, incident handling, and fault management
  • Experience working with Linux/Windows environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external providers
  • Experience in documenting incidents and maintaining clear technical reporting

Nice-to-haves skills:

  • Experience with scripting (Python or Bash)
  • Telecom industry background (TELCO)
  • Experience configuring or improving NOC monitoring tools
  • Experience working in an international environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the network across IP and transmission platforms (including xWDM), as well as underlying infrastructure (sites, owned and leased fiber)
  • Act on alarms indicating both service-impacting and potential service-impacting issues
  • Initiate and perform troubleshooting of faults and outages across relevant platforms
  • Resolve incidents at first line whenever possible, minimizing escalation to second-level support
  • Take full ownership of incidents and drive them to resolution and restoration
  • Collaborate with third-party providers (hardware vendors, field support, network providers) during troubleshooting
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation during and after incident resolution
  • Maintain clear and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders during major incidents
  • Track SLA commitments, follow up on progress, and coordinate resolution across teams
  • Prepare root cause analysis and outage reports
  • Act as a SPOC during planned maintenance and outages
  • Configure and contribute to the development of NOC monitoring tools and processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve troubleshooting and information sharing

Expected Qualifications

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership and make decisions in time-critical situations
  • High level of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment

What we offer:

  • Continuous learning and career growth opportunities
  • Professional training and English/Spanish language classes
  • Comprehensive medical insurance
  • Mental health support
  • Specialized benefits program with compensation for fitness activities, hobbies, pet care, and more
  • Flexible working hours
  • Inclusive and supportive culture
