Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially driven Account Manager (Motor Finance – Dealers) to spearhead our merchant acquisition and partnership portfolio across the Yorkshire region. In this high-impact, field-based relationship seat, your primary mission is to source, develop, and maintain long-term origination agreements with independent used car dealerships and auto brokerage networks. Operating under a target-driven framework, you will conduct face-to-face appointments, run commercial point-of-sale credit negotiations, and consultatively audit active dealer accounts to maximize their efficiency metrics. This role demands a proactive territory manager who understands retail finance, possesses excellent negotiation mechanics, and can operate autonomously to scale regional market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Portfolio Development: Identify, pitch, and onboard prominent used car dealerships and vehicle brokers within the Yorkshire territory to expand retail finance volumes.
  • Relationship Account Management: Manage an active portfolio of dealer accounts, analyzing sales delivery metrics to ensure partners meet efficiency goals.
  • Face-to-Face Commercial Negotiations: Lead on-site dealer consultations and structured digital briefings, offering competitive motor finance facilities and underwriting parameters.
  • Executive Performance Reporting: Research, digest, and present regional marketplace asset trends clearly and concisely to senior management and director-level cells.
  • Regulatory Practice Enforcement: Conduct all verbal and written consumer credit conversations in a manner that is completely clear, fair, and non-misleading, conforming to regional motor industry regulations.
  • Cross-Location Syncs: Set independent daily production schedules while participating actively in one-on-one evaluations and collaborative team strategy sessions (typically hosted at our Cardiff hub).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven professional history running B2B account management, field sales development, or merchant relationship operations.
  • Demonstrated capacity to present financial products fluidly to motor dealers, brokers, and automotive asset decision-makers of all sizes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, time management, and territory organization skills, with a track record of executing goals inside target-driven environments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, optimized to synthesize complex terms into transparent merchant packages.
  • Location Context: 100% remote-first field operational framework covering the **Yorkshire patch**, requiring a valid driver’s license and continuous regional travel capacity.
  • Shift Patterns: Fixed working parameters operating Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (36.25 hours per week).
