Your Impact: How You'll Help Heal a Broken System

This isn't just a job; it's a chance to build something that matters. As a Medical Biller, you'll be shaping the future of at-home care. You'll be a key part of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team, working to get patients the medical equipment they need at home by ensuring every claim is filed correctly and paid on time. You'll also be joining at an exciting time: as we launch new product categories, you'll help build the billing processes that support them from day one.

What You'll Achieve: A Glimpse into Your Contributions

• Bill Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance carriers.
• Research and correct rejected claims and post payments.
• Resubmissions of claims as required with supporting documentation as needed.
• Post payments or rejections received.
• Call payers and/or work on payer websites to status or reprocess claims as necessary to secure payment for claims.
• Update accounts receivable with new accounts or missed payments.
• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding balances and debts.
• Learn the billing, documentation, and prior authorization requirements for new product categories as we launch them, and help us turn what you learn into repeatable processes.

Core Skills & Experience:

• Great communication, written and verbal, in English.
• Detail-oriented and accurate when working through a queue of claims, denials, or payments.
• Energetic and organized.
• Comfortable with learning new things quickly.
• Coachable and curious: you take feedback well, ask good questions, and apply what you learn.
• Some experience in US medical billing, claims, or revenue cycle (any specialty) is helpful. We'll train you on our product categories.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with prior authorizations and medical necessity documentation for Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

If you have billed for any of the following, we want to hear about it:

• Diabetes: continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and related supplies
• Respiratory: CPAP and BiPAP, including capped rental billing and compliance/adherence documentation
• Mobility: manual and power wheelchairs, including complex rehab
• Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P)

Our Team & Our Tools

You'll be joining the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team, a hands-on team that values accuracy and speed of execution.

The tools and technologies you'll use include:

• Billing & Claims: Verse’s internal order and billing platform, plus our clearinghouse for claim submission and remittances
• Payer Portals: Availity, DME MAC portals, and health plan provider portals
• Reporting: Metabase and Google Sheets
• Collaboration: Slack and Google Workspace
