About Dutchie: Founded in 2017, Dutchie is a leading technology platform powering dispensary operations and providing consumers with safe, easy access to cannabis. Dutchie supports societal change through wellness benefits, social justice, and empowering local communities via tax revenue. With over **$600M** in funding from investors like D1 Capital Partners, Tiger Global, and Snoop Dogg’s Casa Verde Capital, Dutchie powers thousands of dispensaries across **40+ markets** in the U.S. and Canada.

About This Job: As a **Marketing Strategy Consultant I** on Dutchie’s Solutions team, you’ll drive the full value of Dutchie’s Loyalty & Marketing product for customers. This best-in-class solution combines loyalty program management with integrated SMS, MMS, and email marketing tools, all built into the Dutchie platform.

Many dispensaries have purchased Loyalty & Marketing but are leaving significant GMV and messaging revenue on the table. Your role is to identify these opportunities, partner with Customer Success and Account Management, and proactively engage accounts to maximize adoption, messaging revenue, and retention.

You’ll review customer data, demographics, market trends, competitive dynamics, and state regulations to develop tailored marketing strategies spanning SMS, MMS, and email, grounded in strong loyalty program fundamentals. This isn’t a “set it and forget it” engagement—you’ll stay engaged post-launch, review performance, and iterate until results improve before handing over a playbook and SOPs for independent execution.

What You’ll Do:

Opportunity Identification & Prioritization

  • Use reporting tools (Hex or similar BI/data tools) to analyze usage, performance, and GMV data across Loyalty & Marketing customers, identifying accounts with the greatest opportunity for improved adoption and revenue lift.
  • Continuously triage and prioritize opportunities to focus on accounts with the most upside.

Customer Marketing Strategy & Enablement

  • Conduct consultative diagnoses by reviewing each account’s customer data, demographics, local market trends, competitive landscape, and state-specific regulations to shape tailored marketing strategies.
  • Advise customers on campaign strategies, including targeting, timing, and effective use of SMS, MMS, and email as part of a cohesive strategy.
  • Provide hands-on technical enablement, helping customers configure the platform, build campaigns, and set up workflows correctly.
  • Optimize loyalty programs to build repeat, lifetime customers.
  • Develop SOPs and marketing playbooks tailored to each customer for durable, repeatable processes.
  • Stay engaged post-launch, reviewing campaign and adoption performance, and iterating on strategy until results improve.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers and Account Managers to coordinate outreach, align on account context, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Serve as a voice-of-customer channel, surfacing product feedback, feature gaps, and trends to Dutchie’s Product team.

What You Bring:

  • 2-4 years of experience in retail marketing, digital marketing, customer marketing, or marketing consulting. B2B SaaS, martech, or customer success experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience using a marketing technology platform to manage and run SMS, MMS, and email campaigns—comfortable working directly inside a platform (building campaigns, segmentation, workflows).
  • A solid understanding of data-driven marketing and general marketing optimization best practices, including segmentation, targeting, campaign timing/cadence, and performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with retail loyalty programs and what separates a sophisticated, high-performing program from a basic one.
  • Comfort working with data and reporting tools (Hex, Looker, Tableau, or similar) to independently identify trends and prioritize opportunities.
  • Strong consultative instincts—comfortable reviewing a customer’s data and market context and translating it into a clear, actionable strategy.

Key Competencies:

  • Proactive & Self-Directed: Identify accounts needing help and bring a plan.
  • Consultative Communicator: Build credibility with customers and translate data into compelling, actionable stories.
  • Organized Execution: Manage multiple customer engagements from strategy to performance review and handoff.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Work naturally with Customer Success and Account Management.
  • Adaptable Marketer: Tailor strategy to different markets, regulatory environments, and customer sophistication levels.

Logistics:

  • Remote, individual-contributor role reporting to the Director, Solutions.
  • Approximately 15% travel for customer visits and internal team gatherings.

It’s a Bonus if You:

  • Have prior experience running marketing campaigns for cannabis retail operators.
  • Have deeper product/functional experience with Dutchie’s Loyalty & Marketing product.
  • Have experience building or scaling SOPs/playbooks for customer-facing teams.

You’ll Get:

We are targeting an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $90,000 - $110,000 (90% base / 10% variable), with variable compensation tied to metrics such as customer adoption of the Loyalty & Marketing product, messaging revenue growth, GMV lift, campaign performance, and customer retention/churn reduction.
