Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, self-directed, and hands-on Marketing Specialist to join our global Growth vertical under an independent contractor remote/hybrid configuration based in Cape Town, South Africa. Working hand-in-hand with our core growth hub in London, you will claim tactical ownership over multi-channel user acquisition, retention mechanics, and landing page conversions to drive global customer pipelines. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative transcription filing, simple data entry sheet updates, or low-level layout changes, you will run an active marketing experimentation, A/B testing funnel, and tracking metrics laboratory. This role requires a digital growth enthusiast who maps customer acquisition pathways fluidly natively using SEO and consumer lifecycle primitives, builds data-supported business frameworks, manages marketing automation suites, and partners cross-functionally across distributed sales and product cells to unlock commercial monetization wins.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Campaign Governance: Formulate, deploy, and monitor technical user acquisition initiatives spanning paid search, email funnels, affiliate networks, social pipelines, and referral systems natively utilizing SEO frameworks.
- Conversion Funnel Instrumentation: Conduct detailed user-behavior path audits and A/B test experiments, optimizing website structures, content copies, and call-to-actions to maximize sign-up velocities.
- SEO & Inbound Channel Auditing: Partner alongside growth leads to manage organic search strategies—tracking search health, keyword indexing metrics, and meta-data optimizations to expand domain traffic loops.
- Data Telemetry & Reporting: Leverage complex web tracking suites to build regular dashboards, reporting on acquisition spend pacing, payback intervals, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and definitive marketing ROI.
- Emergent Channel Discovery: Research, execute, and benchmark new customer conversion channels and marketing toollines, systematically scaling successful pilots.
- Cross-Functional GTM Synchronization: Collaborate face-to-face with London-based growth teams, local sales cells, product managers, and partnerships units to satisfy overarching corporate retention milestones.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven professional history operating as a Growth Marketer, Digital Acquisition Specialist, Performance Marketing Coordinator, Email Marketing Analyst, or matching tech-focused agency capacity.
- Expert Digital Channel Command: Complete, hands-on production familiarity managing workflows across paid media platforms, inbound marketing funnels, and retention layers.
- Practical tool literacy navigating standard data analytics and marketing automation suites (including GA4, Hotjar, Klaviyo, and Google Search Console tracking pipelines).
- Advanced analytical habits with strong spreadsheet skills (such as Excel or Google Sheets) to manipulate data clusters, detect trends, and back decisions with insights rather than assumptions.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and visual organizational communication strengths in English, with an established history coordinating across international borders.
- Contractual parameters: This position operates strictly under a dedicated Independent Contractor framework rather than a full-time localized employment structure.
- Location Context: Position operates under flexible hybrid-remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified growth professionals residing permanently within Cape Town, South Africa.
