We’re bootstrapped and profitable, having achieved this for 15 years. There are no investors or board members, meaning no external timelines on our decisions. We’re multinational, with offices in Palo Alto, Cambridge (MA), Singapore, and Tokyo. Our culture is fast-moving, low-ego, and built on smart decisions and ownership.
The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to drive Ahrefs’ growth in Brazil. This isn’t about translating global campaigns—it’s about building and executing a local marketing strategy that resonates with Brazilian marketers and businesses.
You’ll bring a track record of helping SaaS companies expand in Brazil, a strong understanding of SEO and AEO, and the ability to turn market knowledge into measurable growth. You’ll start as a one-person local marketing team, working closely with our global marketing team.
What You’ll Do
- Own Ahrefs’ marketing in Brazil, taking a hands-on approach across the marketing mix.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, qualified leads, and customer acquisition.
- Create and localize content for Brazilian audiences: blog posts, social media, email campaigns, landing pages, and other digital assets.
- Manage local marketing activities, including content, events, partnerships, community engagement, and public relations.
- Educate the Brazilian market on SEO, AEO, and AI search, positioning Ahrefs as a trusted resource.
- Build relationships with Brazilian marketers, agencies, creators, industry experts, and relevant communities.
- Organize and participate in conferences, networking events, and customer meetups to build relationships and generate demand.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Report results, learnings, and priorities to senior leadership, connecting marketing activity to business growth.
What You’ll Need
- Significant hands-on experience in SaaS marketing, with ownership of market growth and clear, measurable results.
- A track record of SaaS expansion in Brazil, including companies you helped grow, your personal ownership, and results in customer acquisition, revenue, or other meaningful business metrics. Experience bringing a global SaaS brand into Brazil is particularly relevant.
- Strong practical knowledge of SEO and AEO, including how brands build visibility across search engines and AI-powered answer platforms.
- Good working knowledge of Ahrefs and how its products serve marketers and businesses in Brazil.
- A deep understanding of the Brazilian marketing landscape, customer behavior, and local channels and communities.
- Strong content creation and digital marketing skills, with experience adapting English-language content and creating original campaigns for Brazilian audiences.
- The ability to identify quick wins in your first few months, build on what works, and develop a longer-term strategy while operating as a one-person local team.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, working effectively across teams.
- Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and fluent English, written and spoken. Spanish is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
In 6 months: You’ve launched a focused marketing strategy for Brazil, with measurable improvements in relevant traffic, engagement, and qualified demand. You’re active in at least two relevant local communities, you’ve established relationships with potential partners and creators, and you can show which early initiatives are contributing to customer acquisition.
In 1 year: Ahrefs has a recognized presence in the Brazilian marketing community. Your content, partnerships, and community initiatives are contributing to measurable growth in customers and revenue. You’ve identified repeatable ways to acquire customers, built a plan for further expansion, and established whether growing a small local team is justified. Why Ahrefs
We believe in empowering smart people to make big decisions. As our Marketing Manager for Brazil, you won’t be managing a rigid process; you’ll be building a market. We don’t micromanage. We trust you to identify opportunities, move quickly, and deliver results, working with a product that helps marketers do their jobs better.
