How we’re using AI today

Across GTM, we’re transforming the way we work with AI. We expect every seller, CSM, and team member to become a power user, using it daily to work smarter and move faster. AI is already embedded in how we operate – from real-time coaching that sharpens how we sell and interact with customers, to surfacing insights that help us anticipate needs – creating more time for meaningful customer engagement. If you’re excited to reshape how you think, make decisions, and drive growth with AI, you’ll feel right at home here. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.

What we're looking for:

  • Background in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a related customer-facing technical consulting role supporting complex, consultative sales cycles
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams, with the ability to coach technical storytelling, executive communication, objection handling, and business value alignment
  • Strong channel experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), distributors, and technology alliance partners
  • Technical foundation in identity and security technologies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), authentication, cloud platforms, and Software as a Service (SaaS) integrations
  • Familiarity with the MEDDPICC qualification framework or a similar enterprise sales methodology
  • Practical experience using Large Language Models (LLMs), AI copilots, and automation to improve technical research, customer preparation, solution development, and team productivity
  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs), scripting, automation platforms, or identity security platforms

Experience:

  • Strong technical foundation across identity security, cloud platforms, SaaS integrations, authentication, and adjacent security technologies
  • Track record of leading change, especially transitioning a Solutions Engineering team from a hybrid model into a focused, enterprise-grade pre-sales organization
  • Proven ability to partner with AEs throughout complex, consultative sales cycles, using MEDDPICC to advance technical strategy and remove blockers
  • Experience leading and developing Solutions Engineering teams, with a clear commitment to people management and talent growth
  • Background in a channel-forward go-to-market motion, including MSPs, VARs, two-tier distribution, and strategic partners

Competencies:

  • Influence and communication: builds credibility with customers, partners, Sales, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Judgment and prioritization: balances technical depth, customer needs, deal strategy, and team capacity
  • Change leadership: creates clarity and momentum when goals, processes, or team responsibilities are evolving

What you can expect:

1Password is a premier enterprise password manager and identity security platform designed to protect both individual consumers and massive global workforces from credential-based attacks. Founded in 2005 by Dave Teare and Roustem Karimov, the company evolved from a simple Mac utility into a $6.8 billion cybersecurity powerhouse. Under the hood, 1Password operates on a strict zero-knowledge security model, ensuring that the company never possesses the ability to decrypt or access user data. Their extensive service portfolio has expanded far beyond traditional password vaulting; it now encompasses Extended Access Management (XAM), SSH key management, secure credential sharing, and developer-focused secrets orchestration. Their primary target audience spans millions of individual consumers and over 150,000 businesses worldwide, including major corporations like IBM, Slack, and Under Armour. What sets 1Password apart in the highly competitive identity and access management (IAM) space is its proprietary "Secret Key" architecture—a localized, 34-character cryptographic safeguard that mathematically prevents brute-force attacks—combined with an obsessive focus on seamless user experience (UX) that drives high employee adoption without compromising enterprise-grade security.
