Manager for Paid Media

Role Overview: Quillbot is seeking a data-driven and strategic Manager for Paid Media to lead paid marketing initiatives, drive scalable growth, and optimize media performance. This role is critical for the full-funnel marketing strategy and involves cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Data, Engineering, Product, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Paid Media budget plan and allocation strategy across products, geos, languages, and channels, optimizing for Return on Investment (ROI) and Lifetime Value (LTV).
• Own end-to-end campaign strategy and execution across platforms like Google Search, DV360, PMax, Meta, UAC, and ASA, including strategy, setup, bid management, and creative testing programs.
• Define and manage audience strategy across the funnel, including segmentation, remarketing, and lookalike audiences to maximize reach efficiency and conversion.
• Develop the measurement framework, including attribution infrastructure, incrementality testing, and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), ensuring investment decisions are data-backed. Collaborate closely with Data and Engineering teams.
• Manage relationships with agencies, platform partnerships, and vendor agreements, including negotiations, renewals, and performance accountability.
• Build, mentor, and develop the paid media team, setting clear goals, improving workflows, and fostering high performance.
• Deliver regular performance reporting tied to business outcomes, including CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), LTV, and CPI (Cost Per Install), with actionable recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and pilot emerging ad formats and AI-powered campaign types (e.g., AI Max) to stay ahead of market trends.
• Articulate investment plans and performance results in structured presentations and reports.
• Run structured A/B tests across ads, landing pages, and bidding strategies, translating results into scalable improvements.
• Build and manage a global affiliate program, designing commission models to drive incremental sales.
• Partner with Data, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to align paid media investments with broader growth and profitability goals.

Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience in Paid Media, Growth Marketing, and Performance Marketing.
• Expertise in full-funnel campaigns and global media strategies.
• Proven track record managing large-scale paid campaigns across multiple channels.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality, and full-funnel metrics.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, with a strong bias toward negotiation and peer influence.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads, DV360, GA4, TikTok Ads Manager, and Looker.
• Experience with affiliate marketing.
• Background in DTC and B2C, with preference for experience in subscription-based business models.
• Managerial experience with remote teams.
• Experience selecting and managing media agencies overseas.
• Familiarity with AI and writing tools is a bonus.
