Lead Software Engineer (Remote, United Kingdom)

About the Role: Ticketmaster is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the diverse Global Ticketmaster Abuse and Fraud Prevention engineering team. You will be responsible for engineering excellence in the next generation of protective services, helping protect over $10 billion of revenue annually.

What You'll Do

• Lead development and delivery across globally distributed software teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain clean, scalable APIs in an SOA development environment.
• Write exemplary code and own the full development and deployment cycle for your software.
• Debug and triage production application issues and automate testing, deployments, and recovery.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable lead engineering and backend development experience using Java 17+ and modern frameworks like Springboot.
• Working knowledge of AWS (or other cloud providers), CI/CD servers (Gitlab/Jenkins), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and TDD practices.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical issues and present ideas persuasively.
• Bonus: Experience in DevOps, distributed systems, and familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Terraform, or Helm.
