Ace IT Careers is recruiting candidates for Junior QA Engineer opportunities involving both manual software testing and test automation.
This position is suitable for candidates with foundational QA knowledge, academic or project experience, and a strong interest in developing practical skills across the complete software-testing lifecycle. Selected candidates may work on functional testing, defect management, API validation, database testing, regression testing, and automation activities based on project requirements.
Requirements
- Zero to two years of QA, software-testing, internship, academic-project, or related experience.
- Basic understanding of manual testing, SDLC, STLC, and defect management.
- Familiarity with test cases, test scenarios, regression testing, and bug reporting.
- Exposure to Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman, SQL, Selenium, Java, Python, or similar tools is helpful.
- Willingness to strengthen both manual and automation-testing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed environment.
- Applicable authorization to work in the United States.
Candidates are not required to be advanced automation engineers. Applicants with strong manual-testing fundamentals and introductory automation exposure may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Validate application data using basic SQL queries.
- Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Assist with Selenium-based automated test scripts.
- Learn and apply automation concepts such as locators, waits, assertions, and page-object models.
- Participate in Agile meetings, defect discussions, and release-testing activities.
- Maintain testing documentation, execution results, and defect evidence.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members.
