SimSpace serves as an AI Proving Ground where organizations can confidently train, test, and outmaneuver adversaries in any environment. Trusted by allied governments, militaries, enterprises, and research institutions worldwide, SimSpace enables adaptive, AI-ready defenses that stay ahead of evolving threats.

We are looking for a proactive, automation-minded IT Systems & Support Engineer based in Costa Rica to join our IT team. Working closely with the broader IT organization, this role helps co-own end-to-end technology operations across a global environment.

What You Will Do

• SaaS Administration & Governance: Administer and maintain SaaS applications, software inventory, and license allocation using Torii and core platform-management tools. Audit application usage, manage access controls, and help enforce security baselines across the organization.

• Endpoint & Device Management: Maintain, test, and deploy endpoint configurations, software updates, and security policies using Microsoft Intune for Windows and Addigy for macOS. Support reliable zero-touch provisioning through Autopilot and Apple Business Manager and maintain device-compliance baselines.

• Workflow Automation & Lifecycle Management: Design, build, and maintain automated onboarding and offboarding workflows across HRIS, identity, and SaaS systems. Develop and maintain scripts and REST API integrations using technologies such as JavaScript/Node.js, PowerShell, and Bash to eliminate repetitive IT tasks.

• End-User Support & Operations: Co-own daily support requests and technical troubleshooting to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption. Diagnose and resolve complex software, identity, hardware, and network issues while identifying opportunities for durable, automated fixes.

• Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Create and maintain clear IT documentation, runbooks, and self-service guides. Improve operating processes by identifying root causes, standardizing repeatable work, and reducing manual effort.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish skills required across written, virtual, and in-person interactions.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, IT operations, or infrastructure support in a cloud-forward environment.
  • Endpoint Expertise: Hands-on experience configuring and administering Microsoft Intune and Addigy, or a comparable macOS management platform such as Jamf Pro.
  • SaaS & Identity Management: Demonstrated experience with SaaS operations, identity management, and SaaS governance tools such as Torii, BetterCloud, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Automation & Scripting: Strong ability to build practical automation using JavaScript/Node.js, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, or similar technologies for SaaS and IT-system integrations.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and a bias toward identifying root causes and building permanent solutions rather than relying on temporary workarounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Identity as Code: Experience or interest in managing identity and access controls declaratively using tools and practices such as Terraform or GitOps.

• HRIS Integrations: Experience integrating IT automation tools directly with HRIS platforms.

• Certifications: Relevant platform certifications such as Addigy Certified Expert, Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, or Apple certifications.
