IoT Systems & Integration Engineer

About the Role: We are building a hardware-agnostic IoT platform that connects physical sensors, industrial controllers, gateways, and OEM devices to a unified cloud dashboard. We are seeking an experienced IoT Systems & Integration Engineer who can build the protocol adapters, gateway software, and device abstraction layer.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain the device integration layer using Python and C-based protocol adapters and drivers.
• Implement production-quality integration adapters for MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC-UA, BACnet/IP, and proprietary OEM APIs.
• Build edge gateway software running on embedded Linux gateways and Raspberry Pi-class devices for local protocol translation and data buffering.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing for new devices and build configuration-based onboarding profiles.
• Evaluate new hardware from the supplier ecosystem and maintain complete documentation for every integration.

What You Bring

• 5–9 years of hands-on IoT systems integration, embedded systems, or industrial automation work (purely software candidates will not be considered).
• Deep, practical experience with Modbus TCP/RTU and solid MQTT knowledge (broker configuration, topic design, troubleshooting).
• Proficiency in Python for production-quality protocol adapter development.
• Ability to read hardware datasheets, electrical schematics, and communication protocol specifications independently.
• Bonus: Experience with LoRaWAN, cellular IoT module integration, embedded C/C++, AWS Greengrass, or Azure IoT Edge.
