ICT Design Engineer (Information and Communications Technology)

About the Role: Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O'Brien, is seeking an experienced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Engineer for a long-term independent contractor basis. You will support the design and coordination of cutting-edge data center projects, working in a multidisciplinary environment from schematic design through construction documentation.

What You'll Do

• Design and coordinate ICT and low-voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.
• Use BIM tools, specifically Autodesk Revit, to model and coordinate ICT systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation such as design criteria, specifications, and equipment data sheets.
• Review shop drawings and contractor submittals.
• Maintain project scope of work documentation and support coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What You Bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• Proven expertise as an ICT, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems engineer.
• Hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit is an absolute must, along with other BIM and CAD modeling tools.
• Experience designing low-voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical data center facilities.
• Understanding of telecommunications standards and low-voltage system codes, with written and spoken English B1 or higher.
