Opportunity & impact
Redox is seeking a Head of Legal (interim) to serve as lead legal advisor to our CEO and executive team with a particular focus supporting our commercial organization. This is a hands-on, business-embedded role: beyond core legal leadership, we're looking for someone who brings sharp strategic problem-solving and commercial judgment. This is an interim engagement with close partnership to the CEO and executive team throughout the duration of the consulting agreement with Redox.
Redox is an AI-forward company. We expect this role - like every leader on our team - to actively use AI tools (Claude, etc.) to work faster and smarter.
Job Responsibilities
Act as a thought partner and lead negotiator in complex enterprise deals, working directly with the sales, customer success, and finance teams.
Support pricing and packaging for complex SaaS contracts in partnership with the CFO and commercial leaders.
Participate in board meetings and provide legal counsel to the Board of Directors and its committees as requested.
Advise on corporate governance practices, legal documentation, and compliance programs such as HITRUST and SOC 2.
Lead and develop a small, hands-on legal and compliance team, operating as a working leader and sounding board rather than a manager of a large department.
Required Skills & Experience
- Head of Legal or comparable senior in-house legal experience.
Deep commercial and enterprise contracting experience, including negotiating complex enterprise deals in a highly regulated environment.
Hands-on execution orientation - comfortable operating without a large team beneath you.
Demonstrated strategic problem-solving in real business situations, not just legal analysis.
Business-minded perspective, with the judgment to balance legal risk against commercial goals.
Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate legal and contracting work.
JD from an accredited law school; active license to practice law.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Regulatory and healthcare SaaS experience.
Experience identifying business opportunities connected to regulatory change.
Venture-backed or private equity-backed company experience.
Experience in various healthcare verticals - e.g. provider, payer, and/or life sciences.
Specific Software Platform/Tools Required and/or Preferred
- Required: Contract lifecycle management and e-signature tools (i.e, LinkSquares, Docusign, Salesforce).
Preferred: AI tools for legal work (e.g., Claude) for contract review, drafting, and research.
Healthcare organizations and technology vendors connect to Redox once, then authorize what data they send to and receive from partners through a centralized hub. Redox's cloud-based platform is vendor and standards-agnostic and enables the secure and efficient exchange of healthcare data.
This approach eradicates the need for point-to-point integrations and accelerates the discovery, adoption, and distribution of patient and provider-facing technology solutions. With hundreds of healthcare organizations and technology vendors exchanging data today, Redox represents the largest interoperable network in healthcare. Redox
View Company ProfileRedox (operating under redoxengine.com) is the premier, enterprise-grade healthcare interoperability pioneer, cloud-native data normalization network, and clinical API architect engineered to operate as the definitive, single-source integration layer for healthcare providers, payers, life science institutions, and digital health applications globally. The company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern medical software deployments—where software developers and health systems lose months of engineering velocity to custom EHR vendor configurations, brittle HL7/FHIR mapping pipelines, complex VPN setups, and fragmented health data exchange standards—by deploying a unified, high-concurrency cloud API platform. Moving far beyond traditional, passive point-to-point interface engines or slow middleware registries, Redox natively unifies bi-directional Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration compatibility with over 55 distinct clinical vendors, in-flight protocol translation (converting HL7, X12, CDA, and custom JSON into standardized FHIR models), automated workflow orchestration, and enterprise-grade cloud developer hubs into a single high-availability data infrastructure. Trusted by over 12,000 connected healthcare organizations and processing billions of patient records annually, the platform empowers scaling digital health solutions to accelerate clinical product launches, achieve absolute data integrity, and minimize hospital integration timelines with production-hardened precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated technical core—backed by over $100 million in growth funding from elite venture institutions like Adams Street Partners, Battery Ventures, and .406 Ventures—natively orchestrates advanced cross-domain routing loops, Zero Trust security controls, and preferred data ingestion linkages alongside major hyper-scalers including AWS, Databricks, and Google Cloud. What sets Redox apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing ancient healthcare data silos with modern, developer-first API momentum; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive legacy infrastructure and real-time application capabilities, the firm remains the definitive, category-defining cornerstone of global health-tech connectivity and automated clinical insight delivery.
