Want to know if you're a match for this job?
Clasp is a venture-backed startup transforming access to education and career pathways, focusing on workforce financing for healthcare employers and student loans for partner schools. This role is the first hire for a GTM Engineer responsible for owning Clasp’s HubSpot instance and surrounding systems, including funnel architecture, revenue operations, lifecycle automation, scoring, routing, and reporting across both business motions.
What You'll Do
You’ll build systems that remove manual processes, prioritizing automation and API integrations over manual execution. Key responsibilities include:
HubSpot Ownership: Manage the HubSpot instance end-to-end, including object model, lifecycle stages, properties, associations, pipelines, workflows, forms, integrations, and marketing contact economics. Handle reconciliation of duplicate records, retire zombie workflows, audit installed apps, and ensure consent and deliverability compliance.
Revenue Operations: Define consistent funnel stages and GTM metrics across two distinct motions. Enforce pipeline hygiene through automation, implement territory and segmentation logic, and build lead/account scoring systems with quota and compensation tracking infrastructure.
Pipeline Systems & Growth Engineering: Build enrichment and data waterfalls, signal-based plays, and automated research/personalization for top-of-funnel campaigns. Instrument the student funnel end-to-end to identify and address stalls within a week. Develop landing pages, HubSpot CMS modules, and forms to support campaigns without bottlenecks.
Integrations & Data Flow: Design and maintain API, webhook, and OAuth integrations between HubSpot, Clasp’s product, and third-party services. Ensure dependable data flows with validation, observability, consent handling, access controls, and clear failure recovery. Partner with the data team to ensure HubSpot data is clean, reportable, and trustworthy for AI analytics.
Automation & AI: Identify AI opportunities to remove work from the revenue org, such as enrichment agents, deal-desk assistants, and self-serve reporting. Work within existing automation patterns, leveraging AI-assisted development where it improves quality and speed.
Change Management: Plan and execute material system changes without breaking historical reporting or team trust. Communicate changes proactively, involve stakeholders, and maintain a record of changes, reasons, and approvals.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Data, and Engineering to translate business goals into technical systems. Explain tradeoffs and risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations.
Delivery: Own work from discovery to post-launch support, breaking tasks into clear milestones and shipping reliable increments on schedule. Prioritize ruthlessly, as demand will exceed capacity.
Enablement & Documentation: Document system architecture, CRM configurations, integration behavior, and operational runbooks for both technical and business audiences. Train and support internal teams to maintain and troubleshoot systems. Ensure systems are not single points of failure and move toward version control where appropriate.
Performance & Conversion Optimization: Measure and improve conversion across both funnels, identifying bottlenecks and using analytics to catch regressions before they impact users. Quantify the impact of your work and be transparent about what didn’t work.
What You'll Need
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. Experience is weighted more heavily than credentials.
5+ years in revenue operations, marketing operations, GTM engineering, or an analytics role embedded in revenue, including 2+ years hands-on experience with HubSpot.
Experience building revenue infrastructure from scratch.
Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, insurance) where consumer data, consent, retention, and access controls are critical design constraints.
A track record of successfully implementing material CRM changes on live revenue teams without disrupting reporting.
Deep, hands-on expertise with HubSpot, including custom objects, workflows, forms, CMS modules, CRM and Marketing APIs, and association complexity. Experience fixing broken HubSpot instances.
SQL fluency and comfort reasoning about data models, not just running reports.
Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, data mapping, and reliable synchronization between systems, including failure handling.
Enough scripting ability to automate repetitive tasks. Clasp values adaptability and learning agility over pre-existing skills.
Exposure to warehouse and BI tools (Snowflake, dbt, or equivalents) is a strong plus.
Applied LLM tooling for enrichment, scoring, research, or GTM analytics, with a clear understanding of its strengths and limitations, is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:
Experience in lending, fintech, or high-volume consumer funnels.
Experience with both consumer funnel and enterprise B2B pipeline work.
Background in multi-product or multi-motion companies where one revenue vocabulary doesn’t fit the entire business.

Clasp
View Company ProfileClasp (operating under clasp.com, legally Clasp Inc., and formerly known as Stride Funding) is the premier, enterprise-grade loan-linked hiring platform, alternative student financing pioneer, and human capital technology orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, retention-driven healthcare recruitment, automated loan repayment, and workforce stabilization layer for major hospital networks, medical practices, and emerging clinical operators across the United States. Co-founded by visionary fintech entrepreneur Tess Michaels (CEO) alongside operational architect David Kafafian (COO), the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern clinical staffing—where healthcare institutions battle catastrophic workforce shortages and low employee retention, while graduating clinicians stagger under a combined multi-trillion dollar student debt crisis—by deploying its proprietary employer-sponsored loan-repayment matrix. Moving far beyond traditional, passive signing bonuses or standard, disconnected third-party tuition reimbursement vouchers, Clasp natively unifies structured student-to-employer match channels (pre-selecting clinical candidates well before graduation), automated institutional loan servicing routing, and performance-tied, retention-driven repayment logic into a high-availability employer and talent workflow platform. Described conceptually as "ROTC for healthcare," the platform scales candidate pools and delivers up to a 75% lift in employee tenure for leading health infrastructure systems like OhioHealth, Rochester Regional Health, and MyEyeDr. Highlighting its prominent market validation and status as an elite FinTech vanguard, Clasp has been recognized as a standout on the Forbes Fintech 50 and completed a monumental $20 million Series B financing framework in March 2026 led by Crosslink Capital, expanding its organizational talent footprint to further scale its institutional network. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes secure, automated multi-bank ledger mappings, integrated student-loan tracking configurations via specialized servicing nodes, HR software compliance frameworks, and secure API integrations built to deliver frictionless payroll deductions and loan pay-downs with flawless structural security. What sets Clasp apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing volatile, short-term recruitment tactics with absolute workforce predictability, student-centric financial equity, and highly visible localized career paths; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive structural data validation and front-row clinical staffing needs, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic human resource engineering and global healthcare talent ecosystem transformation.
