At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: A growing Australian provider of home and community support services, focused on delivering personalised care that helps individuals maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life.
Role Overview:
This is a rare opportunity to build a department from the ground up. As the first Growth & Partnerships Manager, you'll take ownership of everything that drives new clients and referral partnerships—from warm lead follow-up and sales conversion to developing referral relationships and executing growth strategies. You'll work closely with the leadership team, including the CEO, Business Manager, Client Manager, and Marketing team.
We're looking for someone who is confident enough to pick up the phone and start conversations with new people, while also being approachable and genuine in building long-term relationships with referral partners, clients, and their families. You enjoy connecting with people over the phone, via video, and in person, and you're able to build trust naturally. You're also comfortable using AI tools such as Claude to improve productivity, whether that's drafting follow-up communications, preparing partnership materials, or managing your sales pipeline and reporting.
Growth should always be built on trust and integrity. Success in this role comes from accurately representing the services offered and ensuring expectations align with what the operations team can deliver. Protecting the company's reputation, values, and client relationships is just as important as achieving growth targets.
This is a senior leadership opportunity. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the growth and partnerships function, allowing the CEO to transition away from the day-to-day responsibilities of the role.
As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to deliver a brief presentation outlining how they would approach the role. This will include how they would position and promote the business, their initial growth and partnership strategies, and how they would measure success during their first months in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warm Lead Follow-Up. Treat warm enquiries as the highest priority. Provide fast, professional and consistent follow-up so opportunities never go cold.
- Referral Partner Outreach. Identify, contact and nurture high-value referral partners, particularly support coordinators and plan managers with active caseloads.
- Sales Conversion. Move suitable leads from enquiry through to assessment, service planning and commencement, in partnership with the Client Manager.
- Referral Database Development. Build and maintain a strong database of support coordinators, plan managers and other referral partners — including contact history, referral activity, preferences and outcomes.
- Marketing Coordination. Work closely with the Marketing Department to help ensure marketing activity happens and lands, including referral packs, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook activity, LinkedIn activity and campaign follow-up.
- Growth Ideas and Testing. Bring practical growth ideas to the CEO and Business Manager, with estimated cost, time required, likely benefit, risks and a clear recommendation.
- Reporting and Accountability. Report clearly on sales activity, leads, referrals, conversions, lost opportunities, campaign results and what is or isn't working.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, account management, or a similar client-facing leadership role.
- Experience in Australian NDIS and aged care industries is paramount.
- Demonstrates strong tenure with previous employers and is not a job hopper.
- Previous experience working with Australian businesses is essential for this role.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and consultative sales skills, with the confidence to engage referral partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a clear, professional speaking voice and strong presentation abilities.
- Comfortable representing the business externally and acting as a trusted extension of the leadership team.
- Experience creating marketing content, social media content, or partnership materials using Canva or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Bold and proactive. Genuinely energised by picking up the phone and starting conversations with new people
- Nurturing and warm. Builds trust with families, clients and referral partners, not just leads
- Loves talking with people over the phone and on video as a primary way of working, not a fallback to email
- AI-savvy. Confident using Claude or similar AI tools day-to-day to work efficiently (drafting outreach, summarising calls, managing pipeline and reporting)
- A big-picture thinker who is equally happy in the detail. You generate the strategy and growth ideas, but you also pick up the phone, send the follow-up and do the hands-on work of implementing them yourself
- Commercially aware, results-driven and comfortable owning targets
- Genuine, values-aligned and honest. Won't oversell or overpromise
- Organised enough to build and maintain a referral database and reporting rhythm from scratch
What the Role Is Not:
This role is not simply a call centre position, a marketing role, an admin role, a social media role, or a traditional sales job where you hand over a client and disappear. You'll stay connected to the client journey, working closely with our Client Manager, so that what's promised in the sales conversation is exactly what our clients experience in their care.
What Success Looks Like:
- Warm leads are followed up quickly and consistently
- Outbound sales and referral activity happens reliably, week to week
- Referral relationships with support coordinators and plan managers are growing
- More support coordinators, plan managers and families know and trust the company.
- Enquiries increase and suitable clients convert into services
- Monthly recurring revenue grows
- Company's values and brand promise are protected throughout the sales process
- The company has a repeatable, reportable growth and referral system — and our CEO is no longer the only person thinking about growth
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that may be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Be available for meetings and collaboration during core AEST business hours
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
- Complete a confidentiality and non disclosure agreement within the contractors workplace contract
