Golang Contractor - Terragrunt

About the Role: Gruntwork is on a mission to transform the way DevOps is done. The Terragrunt Subject Matter Expert (SME) role is focused on contributing to the open-source Terragrunt project, an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) orchestrator for OpenTofu/Terraform. This is an opportunity to get paid to work on an open-source project that is the backbone of tens of thousands of platform teams worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Focus on Golang-based development of Terragrunt to build new features, enhance existing ones, and fix bugs.
• Provide world-class customer support to resolve tickets, manage GitHub issues, and automate solutions.
• Be an active member of the open-source community, engaging on Discord and reviewing PRs.
• Contribute to other Gruntwork open-source projects like Terratest and cloud-nuke.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant Golang expertise.
• Extensive OpenTofu/Terraform experience and familiarity with managing IaC at scale (preferably with Terragrunt).
• Strong testing skills for Golang codebases, including setting up continuous integration.
• Comfortable working 3-4 hours overlapping with the Eastern Time (ET) Zone.
• Bonus: Experience taking ownership of software features from definition to shipping.
