Position Overview

We are seeking a highly sophisticated, systems-minded freelance Fullstack Engineer to join our core AdManager pod in a contract capacity based out of Paris or working fully remote. In this high-trust, advertiser-facing seat, you will help scale the technical features that allow brands to seamlessly launch campaigns, configure payment pipelines, and analyze complex returns on ad spend. Moving far beyond narrow execution, you will claim individual end-to-end ownership of initiatives from initial problem definitions and technical design layouts straight through to rollout, telemetry monitoring, and production follow-ups. This role demands a proactive, senior developer who operates effectively amidst ambiguity, commands robust backend database fundamentals, and can utilize AI-forward workflows to accelerate delivery speed without compromising long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Advertiser-Facing Feature Delivery: Design, build, and optimize scalable full-stack features within the core AdManager application, spanning campaign configuration interfaces, asset management boards, and client onboarding journeys.
• Next.js Application Architecture: Code robust, low-latency, and interactive user-facing web experiences natively utilizing Next.js, React, and TypeScript frameworks.
• Relational Schema Engineering: Design scalable domain models, modify database schemas, and optimize query transactional performance metrics natively inside PostgreSQL relational databases.
• Scalable API Integration: Model and consume resilient REST or backend data services to process synchronous payment pipelines and support intense real-time reporting data visualizations.
• Production System Ownership: Deploy features equipped with appropriate logging, metric counters, custom alerting rules, and observability tracking to minimize production downtime.
• Incident & Blameless Postmortem Triage: Investigate, debug, and resolve live client-impacting production issues, contributing to blameless team incident response reviews and continuous developer experience improvements.
• Technical & Product Judgment: Proactively challenge weak application workflow assumptions and propose pragmatic design alternatives that perfectly balance business release velocity with strict technical debt controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior-level professional history running full-stack web application development, backend systems architecture, or distributed software engineering.
• Deep, authoritative technical command building and scaling web applications natively utilizing Next.js, React, and TypeScript ecosystems.
• Proven background managing relational databases, crafting query optimization models, and handling data mutations natively inside PostgreSQL.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals, showcasing real-world depth in RESTful API design, automated system testing patterns, and software architecture.
• Demonstrated experience taking complete operational responsibility for production environments, covering platform logging, distributed system debugging, and incident management cycles.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with an absolute capacity to break down complex initiatives, manage cross-stack dependencies, and resolve technical challenges without direct supervision.
• Location Context: Contract-based parameters open to qualified full-stack engineers permanently residing in Paris, France or working remotely within compatible global zones.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience building customer-facing SaaS tools, ad-delivery networks, or digital media buying architectures inside the AdTech or Connected TV (CTV) sectors.
• Practical familiarity applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles or running Test-Driven Development (TDD) automated code testing pipelines.
• Active operational experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools or large language model prompt integrations to shorten delivery cycles safely.
• Familiarity with containerized web deployments, microservice architectures, or modern web component repositories.
