Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and analytical-minded Freight Specialist to coordinate our global freight operations and transportation networks under a permanent, full-time remote footprint open across India. Operating directly within our global Carrier group, you will claim complete tactical ownership over booking, tracking, and optimizing less-than-truckload (LTL), partial, and full truckload (FTL) deployments across our multi-tenant network. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data entry modifications, basic promotional content writing, or administrative document scanning, you will run an active load plan optimization, transportation management system (TMS) orchestration, and carrier performance mitigation laboratory. Managing logistics cycles during fixed late-evening alignments (5:30 PM IST to 2:30 AM IST), you will partner cross-functionally next to internal Client Care units and external transportation carriers to proactively solve service failures in real time. This position requires a logistics professional who structures freight movements fluidly natively using Project Management and distribution primitives, balances transport spend matrices efficiently, and demonstrates clear communication habits when escalating noncompliance to senior leadership cells.

Key Responsibilities

  • Freight Movement & Booking Governance: Broker and book less-than-truckload (LTL), partial, and full truckload (FTL) movements across multiple internal and external channels natively utilizing Project Management and transportation rules.
  • Load Plan Optimization Control: Review pending orders and systematically calibrate load distributions based on critical shipment metadata—encompassing pallet counts, scale weights, origins, final destinations, and strict ship-by milestones.
  • Spend Optimization Instrumentation: Monitor and manage LTL/FTL logistics expenditure utilizing native ShipBob analytical models to isolate the lowest-cost carriers matching delivery parameters.
  • Carrier Performance Diagnostics: Monitor transportation carrier compliance parameters continuously, auditing on-time pick and on-time delivery metrics, and modifying the carrier portfolio due to repeated service failures.
  • Disruption Recovery Triage: Identify, investigate, and proactively resolve transit disruptions or delayed delivery appointments, executing real-time recovery tracks for rolled freight shipments.
  • Cross-Functional Inquiry Alignment: Act as the principal point of contact for complex freight escalations and inquiries filed by internal client care teams or directly by merchant accounts.
  • Standardized Telemetry Reporting: Update, audit, and distribute comprehensive operational data spreadsheets and metric logs detailing ongoing standard workflows across the Freight division.
  • Regulatory and Safety Compliance: Enforce full alignment with all corporate food safety rules, specialized logistics documentation criteria, and regional compliance parameters.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated professional history operating inside a Freight Coordinator, Logistics Specialist, Transportation Planner, LTL Broker, Supply Chain Analyst, or closely matching technical distribution capacity.
  • Expert Transportation Platform Command: Deep, practical working literacy utilizing an enterprise-level Transportation Management System (TMS) to track, route, and dispatch freight.
  • Advanced analytical habits, with verified experience parsing operational data, constructing reports, and executing process-driven workflows using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and messaging communication strengths in English, with a proven history coordinating clearly across multi-party operational syncs and senior leadership updates.
  • Operational Timings Context: Position operates strictly under dedicated shift structures covering 5:30 PM IST to 2:30 AM IST, requiring flexibility (plus or minus 2 hours) to adjust for operational needs and U.S. Daylight Saving Time (DST) fluctuations.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified logistics and supply chain professionals residing permanently within India.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior platform background navigating e-commerce fulfillment systems, B2B distribution channels, or parcel network configurations.
  • Direct operational familiarity or layout integration background interfacing with specialized logistics frameworks (such as Blue Yonder DLx Dispatcher configurations).
  • An adaptable mindset with an interest in rapid professional advancement, mapping towards a leadership track within 2 to 3 years.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Indian Supply Chain Technology Remuneration: A highly competitive annual total salary package calibrated precisely to your logistics pedigree, supplemented by a dedicated Work From Home allowance.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy open across India, removing office transit barriers from your schedule.
  • High-Performance Scale Footprint: Elite professional growth milestones built by orchestrating the foundational freight layers behind a global technology platform handling millions of e-commerce orders.
  • Comprehensive health preservation benefits, providing high-tier Medical, Term Life, and Accidental Insurance packages for employees.
  • Access to a robust leave framework providing 12 days of All-Purpose Leave (Casual/Sick), 15 days of Earned Leave, and 12 Public Holidays, combined with generous maternity/paternity leave layers, quarterly dedicated Wellness Days, and a highly collaborative, transparent culture celebrated globally via our network hubs.
