What You'll Do

As a Freelance Functional App Tester, you will evaluate a financial management mobile application from an end-user perspective and help ensure it functions correctly across real-world environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute assigned mobile app testing scenarios
• Follow detailed testing instructions and workflows
• Record your smartphone screen while completing test cases
• Identify and document unexpected app behavior
• Submit screen recordings and concise test reports
• Report issues clearly and accurately in English
• Complete assignments within project deadlines

Typical workload

You can expect:

• Approximately 1 testing assignment per week
• Around 30 minutes of work per assignment
• Delivery required within 1 to 2 business days
• Project duration of approximately 2 to 3 months

This role is designed to fit around other professional or academic commitments.

Location: Remote (Belgium)

Contract Type: Freelance / Independent contractor

Project Duration: Approximately 2–3 months

Workload: Around 30 minutes per weekly assignment

Requirements

To participate, applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

1. Banking Requirement (Mandatory)

To ensure a realistic testing environment:

• You must have an active personal bank account with a bank operating in Belgium.

• You must be willing to log into the application using your own bank account during testing activities.

2. Mobile Device Requirement

You must own a smartphone running:

• iOS 18 or later, or
• Android 7 or later

This is a mandatory technical requirement for our secure testing environment.

3. Belgian Mobile Number

You must have:

• an active mobile phone number registered in Belgium.

4. English Language Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Understanding written English instructions
• Following English-language testing guidelines
• Writing brief test reports in English

Please note that while Belgium is a multilingual market, project communication and reporting will be conducted in English.

5. Technical Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Installing and using mobile applications
• Following detailed step-by-step instructions
• Identifying unexpected mobile app behavior
• Recording your smartphone screen
• Submitting reports accurately and on time

No previous experience in software testing, QA testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or mobile application testing is required.

6. Remote Working Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Reliable high-speed internet access
• Their own smartphone device
• A quiet environment for independent work
• The ability to complete assignments within the requested timeframe
