Position Overview

We are seeking culturally online, highly creative Freelance Mid-Level Copywriters to join our external talent bench. This role is tailored for wordsmiths who possess a deep understanding of internet culture, platform behaviors, and breaking social trends—someone who instinctively knows how to write content that earns a spot in the group chat. Juggling between consumer and tech accounts, you will author everything from real-time reactive trendjacking copies to comprehensive monthly campaign calendars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social-First Ideation: Concept and execute bold, native creative copy across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Threads, and breaking emerging networks.
  • Content Deliverables Development: Author structured monthly social media calendars, platform-native captions, video scripts, hooks, and overarching campaign concepts.
  • Real-Time Trendjacking: Monitor internet culture shifts to generate fast-turn reactive assets, capitalizing on breaking news, memes, and lifestyle conversations.
  • Distinct Brand Voice Stewardship: Absorb and seamlessly pivot between different brand tones, shaping voices that feel modern, distinct, and social-native.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Brainstorm and collaborate alongside internal strategists, graphic designers, video editors, and creative directors to refine copy based on feedback loops.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of verified copywriting experience operating within a creative agency, digital studio, social media team, or modern brand environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first concepting, short-form video scripting, and culturally relevant copy executions.
  • Proven background delivering copy assets for consumer sectors spanning food/beverage, lifestyle, tech, sports, or beauty brands.
  • Deep structural fluency across social platform algorithms, trend mechanics, and target community behaviors.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight while maintaining immaculate attention to detail under tight, fast-paced turnaround windows.
  • Location Context: 100% remote working infrastructure framework open to qualified freelance professionals based within the United States.
