Freelance CG Artist - Product Rendering & Video

Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Freelance CG Artists to own the visual creation pipeline for our flagship smart ring wearable product. In this execution-heavy contract track, you will transform imperfect engineering inputs—including CAD/STP models, factory drawings, reference shots, and raw Color, Material, Finish (CMF) criteria—into ultra-premium, photorealistic stills and dynamic motion graphics. This role demands a high-agency creator who can make a micro-scale consumer product look premium, real, and incredibly desirable for investor pitches, web storefronts, social campaigns, and internal design reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Photorealistic Product Rendering: Build hyper-detailed, photorealistic macro-level product renders showcasing our smart ring hardware device across complex studio backdrops.
• Dynamic Motion Animation: Coordinate and execute short product videos, seamless turntable rotations, camera sweeps, product reveals, and fluid material state transitions.
• CMF & Texture Explorations: Rapidly engineer realistic material studies across diverse physical properties including titanium, polished ceramic, resin, glass, and multi-state LED charging contact points.
• CAD Input Optimization: Ingest raw, multi-part STEP and STP engineering data structures, setting up clean lighting angles, surface maps, and micro-wearable compositions.
• AI Asset Augmentation: Experiment and combine standard 3D rendering workflows with emerging generative AI image and video models to accelerate asset adaptation and visual prototyping.
• Production-Ready File Delivery: Structure and export clean, highly organized editable source files and asset formats optimized for immediate distribution across web, ads, and pitch decks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional portfolio showcasing elite product rendering and video composition capabilities, specifically focusing on micro-hardware, jewelry, watches, wearables, or premium consumer electronics.
• Master-level operational familiarity running professional 3D and post-production software layers such as Blender, Cinema 4D, KeyShot, Redshift, Octane, or V-Ray.
• Advanced proficiency handling video compositing, text animations, and post-production layers inside After Effects, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Exceptional command over lighting values, surface mechanics, volumetric scale, and microscopic product details.
• Proven capacity to work autonomously from loose text references, accelerating visual iterations without needing heavy hand-holding.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first freelance structure open to operators in Seoul, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, or Shenzhen.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior background interacting with industrial design frameworks, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) variables, or factory blueprint communication charts.
• Basic image manipulation and masking capabilities inside Adobe Photoshop for fast matte paint adjustments.
