About Hatch: Hatch is a fast-growing, enterprise software innovator on an ambitious mission to shape the future of AI-driven customer service. We build high-velocity client engagement platforms alongside founders and leaders who value extreme speed, ownership, and uncompromised technical execution. Hatch eliminates administrative friction for scaling businesses, transforming complex operational workflows into repeatable automated channels. Built by an elite group of engineers and product creators who care deeply about functional craft, fast delivery loops, and each other, Hatch empowers modern organizations to solve challenging technical data integration problems that leave a visible impact on real-world customers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and development-oriented Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the implementation of complex custom enterprise integrations under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across the United States. In this high-leverage software engineering and consultative delivery seat, you will act as the principal hands-on developer responsible for crafting data-orchestration middleware that extends far beyond standard out-of-the-box templates. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data entry logs, basic canvas styling changes, or simple helpdesk ticketing queries, you will operate an active multi-system API synchronization, custom webhook triage, and dynamic runtime orchestration laboratory. Partnering directly beside internal product R&D pods and strategic account executives, you will take absolute technical ownership over non-native client infrastructure components from discovery through live deployment. This position requires a client-facing developer with 1–4 years of software engineering history who handles code-level integration pipelines fluidly natively using Backend, Python, and Project Management primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with advanced orchestration tooling, and conducts technical on-site client consulting visits with absolute confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Middleware Implementation Governance: Architect, implement, and optimize production-grade multi-system orchestration layers, custom webhooks, and direct API components natively utilizing Backend engineering frameworks.
  • Enterprise Integration Scaffolding: Build and calibrate advanced integration pipelines for complex third-party accounts lacking native connectors (such as legacy CRMs, custom logic nodes, and event-based triggers) natively deploying Python scripts.
  • Pre-Sales Technical Scoping: Partner close-knit naast sales execution cells to deep-dive into comprehensive developer documentation, bridging client business priorities cleanly with underlying technology limitations.
  • End-to-End Onboarding Ownership: Manage technically intricate enterprise onboardings start-to-finish, taking full responsibility for project outcomes from initial technical discovery to final customer sign-off natively leveraging Project Management.
  • Quality Assurance and Lifecycle Monitoring: Own comprehensive pre-live testing arrays and post-launch monitoring telemetry to isolate system degradation or runtime bottlenecks before the customer flags them.
  • Reusable Architecture Blueprinting: Define, standardize, and enforce structural implementation patterns and custom template primitives to ensure engineering squads are not resolving the same configuration challenge twice.
  • Field-Side R&D Advisory: Act as the primary interface back to core Product and Engineering divisions, identifying recurring custom customer integration requests and surfacing reproducible feature playbooks for native platform additions.
  • Consultative Client Representation: Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise technical committees, conducting periodic on-site visits to present complex structural architectures and guide deployment configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1–4 years of proven, successful professional software engineering experience, coupled with several years of experience operating in a highly technical, client-facing consulting or solutions architect seat.
  • Expert Middleware Engineering Command: Meticulous hands-on track record building custom data routing flows, multi-tiered webhook endpoints, and data formatting microservices natively inside advanced workflow automation suites (such as n8n or direct scripting environments).
  • Deep analytical instincts with complete comfort diving into comprehensive developer documentation, parsing convoluted API endpoints, and configuring backend system pipelines.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and textual presentation communication strengths in English, with an established background presenting abstract computational limits cleanly to both technical developers and non-technical business executives.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness and absolute capacity to undertake periodic business travel, including onsite customer visits, to facilitate critical architectural deployment commitments.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified full-stack integration and solution engineering authorities residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior platform or consulting history engineering custom data integrations explicitly inside the AI-driven customer service, marketing automation, high-volume enterprise SaaS, or heavy CRM sectors.
  • Direct operational familiarity manipulating multi-tenant container deployments, data parsing scripts, or relational database query layers.
  • An adaptable, high-agency persona characterized by deep intellectual curiosity, a passion for fast execution, and a strict motivation to be buried in the core engineering work rather than coordinating around it.

What We Offer

  • Top-Tier United States Solutions Engineering Remuneration Matrix: A highly competitive annual target cash base salary scale of $162,000 — $219,000 USD calibrated precisely to your individual systems pedigree and closing velocity, supplemented by an attractive Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and performance reviews.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure freedom anywhere within the United States, supplemented by comprehensive Work From Home reimbursements.
  • Macro Business Transformation Influence: Elite professional landmarks achieved by single-handedly blueprinting the custom data architectures, middleware maps, and API automations that onboard massive corporate enterprises onto an AI future.
  • Comprehensive physical preservation benefits effective on day one, including 100% group medical, vision, and dental insurance structures.
  • Access to flat corporate networks with direct alignment to founders, mental health support via Modern Health, 15 days of PTO (increasing with tenure), 12 paid public holidays plus a floating holiday, up to 14 weeks of parental leave, monthly wellness stipends, 401(k) savings opportunities, and professional development funding to support lifelong technical mastery.
