Finance Manager (Multi-Entity Accounting)

We are seeking a finance professional to oversee the finance function across our entire portfolio. This includes managing every entity, bank account, and QuickBooks file, ensuring accurate tracking of all payouts. You will be the go-to person when partners inquire about their earnings and when we need to understand where funds were allocated last month.

About our client:

Ecom Business operates a portfolio of ecommerce companies generating multi-eight figures annually across US and international entities. Founders behind Evolve and Origins (ranked #2 and #11 on Skool, respectively), they consult over 2,500 brands. They are building ecomuniversity.com, an education platform for ecommerce skills, which has already trained over 1,000+ editors. They also run ecombounty.com, where trained editors create ads for brands through performance. Additionally, they are preparing to launch their first direct-to-consumer brand.

Responsibilities

• Own the books for every entity, both US and international, in QuickBooks Online, ensuring clean entity and class structure and monthly reconciliations.
• Direct the accounting assistant in categorizing receipts, invoices, and reconciliations, and perform quality assurance on their work.
• Manage payouts for contractors, partners, and distributions, ensuring the right person receives the right amount at the right time, with proper documentation.
• Track ownership splits and distributions to ensure every partner knows exactly what they are owed and the reasoning behind it.
• Build dashboards to display cash flow, revenue, costs, and margins by entity and across the entire portfolio.
• Develop projections and cash flow forecasts to help make informed decisions before issues arise.
• Provide partners with a monthly business overview, highlighting growth areas, leaks, and actionable insights.
• Review costs, subscriptions, and vendor spending, collaborating with the team to optimize these expenses.
• Set up finance operations for every new company from day one, including bank accounts, QuickBooks file setup, and structuring.

Requirements

• 2 to 3+ years in accounting or finance, preferably with experience owning the books for a multi-entity business generating eight figures or more.
• Expertise in QuickBooks Online, including classes, multiple entities, and consolidated reporting.
• Comfortable managing US and international entities and currencies; US tax knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ecommerce experience is a bonus, particularly understanding Shopify payouts, Stripe, ad spend, and contractor payments.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• AI proficiency; ability to use AI for building models, dashboards, and workflows efficiently while ensuring financial data privacy.
• Availability during core hours with strong asynchronous communication skills.
• References from founders or owners whose books you have managed are highly valued.
