Wingz is a leading US rideshare company focused on Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).

Job Summary:

Wingz is looking for a Finance & Operations Associate based in the Philippines to join our growing remote team. This is a full-time, remote-first position designed for a well-rounded professional who brings financial acuity and operational discipline together, someone who can move fluidly between numbers, processes, people, and stakeholder communication without losing pace or precision.

This is not a siloed accounting role. You will work across finance, operations, client relations, and team development. You will be expected to think critically, communicate clearly with leadership and executives, build and improve the systems the business runs on, and take genuine ownership of your work.

We are specifically seeking talent in the Philippines — a market that consistently produces high-caliber remote professionals. If you are serious about building a long-term remote career, contributing at a level that matters, and growing within an organization that recognizes strong performance, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and financial records using the organization's accounting tools
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, summaries, and data presentations for leadership and stakeholders
  • Analyze financial data to surface trends, flag variances, and provide actionable interpretation — not just raw numbers
  • Support budget tracking, reconciliation, and month-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and any applicable regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate adaptability across accounting and bookkeeping platforms — QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, or others as the business requires

Operations:

  • Create, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and process guides that the team can actually use
  • Regularly review existing processes against business data and drive improvements — identify inefficiencies before they become problems
  • Support the implementation and rollout of new operational updates, tools, and organizational changes with thoroughness and compliance
  • Coordinate across departments and functions to ensure operational continuity and alignment
  • Contribute to data analytics efforts — collect, organize, interpret, and present operational data in clear formats for decision-making

Client Communication & Relationships:

  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients — written and verbal communication must reflect Wingz's standards at all times
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent, proactive, and reliable communication
  • Handle client inquiries, escalations, and follow-ups with clarity, professionalism, and appropriate urgency
  • Understand client needs deeply enough to anticipate issues and communicate solutions before they are asked

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead or co-lead a team — previous team leadership experience is required, and you will be expected to step into that role here
  • Actively nurture the career development of team members and direct reports — coaching, mentoring, and feedback are part of the job, not optional
  • Model accountability, clear communication, and high standards for your team
  • Identify skills gaps and growth opportunities within the team and raise them with leadership constructively

Leadership & Executive Communication:

  • Communicate directly and explicitly with executives, leadership, and stakeholders — no ambiguity, no over-hedging
  • Prepare clear updates, reports, and briefings that give decision-makers exactly what they need without burying the point
  • Raise issues, risks, and recommendations proactively — leadership should never be the last to know
  • Represent the team and the work confidently in any forum — written memos, verbal updates, or live meeting

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years of combined, relevant experience spanning finance/accounting and operations — not one or the other, both
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team in any capacity
  • Track record of building or improving SOPs, workflows, or business processes
  • Background in client-facing roles where communication quality directly affected outcomes
  • Experience working in a remote environment is strongly preferred — you understand remote discipline, async communication, and self-management
  • We do not require experience with any one specific tool. We require the mindset and capability to learn and use whatever the business runs on.

Communication:

  • Solid English communication — both written and verbal — is non-negotiable. You will be communicating with US-based leadership, executives, and clients
  • Written: reports, SOPs, email correspondence, and internal documentation must be clear, concise, and professional at all times
  • Verbal: you must be comfortable speaking in team meetings, client calls, and leadership briefings — articulate, confident, and direct
  • You communicate with intention. You do not leave room for misinterpretation when it matters

Who You Are:

  • You are passionate about remote work — not because it's convenient, but because you treat it as a serious career path and show up accordingly
  • You are dedicated — to your craft, your team, and the organization you represent
  • You are a critical thinker — you question processes, look for root causes, and bring solutions, not just observations
  • You are explicit — in what you communicate, what you need, and what you expect, whether speaking to a team member or an executive
  • You invest in your team — you genuinely care about the growth of the people you work with and make time for it
  • You follow through — on compliance, on implementation, on commitments. The business can count on you
  • You adapt — to new tools, new processes, and organizational changes without friction or complaint

Wingz is a specialized, purpose-driven rideshare platform that has strategically evolved to dominate the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) sector. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, the company connects vulnerable patient populations with a highly vetted network of compassionate, credentialed drivers. Under the hood, Wingz operates on purpose-built NEMT software designed specifically to integrate with healthcare brokers, insurance providers, and government payor programs like Medicaid and Medicare. Unlike traditional ride-hailing giants, Wingz strictly enforces a zero-surge pricing model, guaranteeing consistent, transparent, and flat-rate costs for pre-scheduled rides. Their primary target audience includes healthcare organizations, NEMT brokers, and patients who require reliable, safe transit to critical medical appointments across the United States. What sets Wingz apart in the crowded mobility landscape is its deeply human-centric operational model—allowing riders to request their favorite drivers for repeat assignments, fostering long-lasting trust and ensuring absolute compliance with rigorous healthcare safety standards.
