Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, low-level systems fluent, and hardware-minded Embedded Software Engineer to join our global engineering organization under a permanent, full-time remote configuration based out of Hyderabad, India. In this critical, individual contributor seat, you will take absolute software lifecycle, hardware bring-up, and peripheral routing ownership for components running across our award-winning neural accelerators. Shifting completely away from customer-facing web layouts, routine office data transcription, or non-technical business support loops, you will manage an active real-time kernel, hardware abstraction layer (HAL), and device driver programming laboratory—partnering face-to-face with an elite cadre of deep learning scientists and firmware architects. This position requires a systems programming authority with 5+ years of C/C++ experience who writes low-level system code fluidly natively using Backend and embedded methods, isolates latency anomalies across SPI, I2C, and I2S lines, customizes memory resource allocators and synchronization primitives systematically within RTOS, Linux, and Android microarchitectures, and leads hardware bring-up initiatives confidently to accelerate Edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Low-Level System Architecture Governance: Prototype, design, and implement performant software layers spanning kernel modules, memory space allocators, and synchronization primitives natively utilizing Backend code models.
  • Hardware Bring-up & Driver Instrumentation: Lead hardware initialization, board support package (BSP) configuration, and performance profiling runs for next-generation neural networking silicon chips.
  • Peripheral Interface Optimization: Program, debug, and scale high-throughput serial peripheral interfaces across hardware boundaries using SPI, I2C, and I2S communication protocols.
  • SDK & Tooling Lifecycle Execution: Author, test, and manage developer SDK extensions, compiler options, and documentation frameworks to expose chip features safely to internal machine learning squads.
  • Cross-Platform OS Integration: Construct and tune reliable application layers tailored for diverse execution ecosystems, matching strict constraints across Linux, Android, and RTOS profiles.
  • Automation & CI/CD Pipeline Tracking: Build, scale, and maintain automated test setups and build scripts using Python and shell scripting, integrating regressions within Git and continuous integration flows.
  • Active Partner Alignment: Act as the core technical anchor during active developer engagements with global hardware and system partners, unblocking integration deadlocks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of proven professional history operating inside an Embedded Software Engineering, Firmware Developer, Systems Programmer, or identical low-level hardware-software capacity.
  • Expert Low-Level Language Command: Elite production-level mastery writing and reviewing source code natively using C and C++ within resource-constrained environments.
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience building frameworks, system services, or custom modules for Linux-based embedded systems in C/C++.
  • Demonstrated multi-year background navigating software-hardware interdependencies across Linux, Android, or RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) targets.
  • Hands-on technical familiarity troubleshooting serial data interfaces and hardware peripherals (specifically SPI, I2C, or I2S communication lines).
  • Highly proficient automating developer tasks and hardware logs leveraging Python, Bash shell scripting, Git, and continuous integration (CI/CD) monitors.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified embedded engineering authorities residing permanently inside the Hyderabad, Telangana, India metropolitan region.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Possess a formal Bachelor or Advanced Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely matching quantitative disciplines.
  • Deep personal alignment with, or historical project background implementing, Machine Learning inference models or neural networks on Edge devices.
  • Prior experience implementing embedded encryption algorithms, bootloader signatures, or hardware-based root of trust security subsystems.
