About the Role
You will own methodology, platform localization, go-to-market partnerships, and customer success sponsorship for the region. Collaborating with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams, you will ensure the platform reflects local standards and industry nuances, then scale impact through strategic partnerships and strong customer outcomes.
This position requires a detail-oriented leader with 8+ years of experience in a complex regulatory landscape, capable of building a function from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
EMEA Audit Methodology & Partnerships
- Define the structure and logic behind Fieldguide’s out-of-the-box methodology content with partners (e.g., ISA (UK), ISA as adopted in the EU, and other local frameworks), ensuring alignment with current standards and regulator expectations.
- Evaluate and incorporate partner-provided industry procedures, testing approaches, internal control testing, and practice guidance into the platform’s methodology library.
- Build and manage relationships with EMEA standard-setters, professional bodies (e.g., FRC, ICAEW, ACCA, national institutes), and regulators.
- Review and refine methodology and engagement templates, incorporating feedback from EMEA practitioners into methodology templates and platform content.
AI Collaboration
- Partner with AI architects and engineers to translate professional standards and practitioner judgment into prompts, workflows, and guardrails for integrated methodologies and testing agents.
- Direct the localization and customization of Fieldguide’s AI agents and audit workflows for EMEA, addressing local GAAS/ISA nuances, regulatory reporting, and firm-specific configurations.
- Prioritize EMEA-specific platform requirements with Engineering and Product teams.
Go-to-Market Partnership
- Act as the financial audit subject-matter expert for the EMEA GTM team, leading and supporting customer demos and technical validation sprints.
- Represent Fieldguide on customer onsites, building credibility with firm leadership and technical evaluators.
- Partner with Sales on deal strategy for complex or strategic EMEA opportunities.
Implementation Partnership
- Serve as the financial audit business sponsor for EMEA customer implementations and act as the financial audit subject-matter expert for EMEA implementations.
- Act as an escalation point and unblock complex issues for EMEA accounts.
- Monitor customer health and methodology fit, feeding insights back into product and methodology roadmaps.
Regional Leadership
- Advise the Head of Audit and cross-functional leadership on EMEA financial audit priorities (product, methodology, go-to-market, and implementation).
- Recruit, mentor, and develop financial audit EMEA team members as the team scales.
About You
- Professional audit qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) with deep expertise in ISA and EMEA financial audit standards.
- 8+ years of financial audit experience at a public accounting or assurance firm, including direct experience with EMEA regulatory and standard-setting bodies.
- Strong expertise in auditing standards and audit methodology.
- Experience with audit technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools, audit methodologies, templates, or workpapers. Working knowledge of quality control/quality management standards (e.g., ISQM 1, SQMS 1, PCAOB QC standards) as they relate to methodology and audit documentation.
- Ability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and logic.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
- Executive presence and confidence to lead demos, onsites, and validation sprints directly in front of firm leadership and regulators.
Nice to Haves
- Experience spanning multiple EMEA jurisdictions, international auditing standards, and methodologies (UK, EU, and beyond).
- Experience working in audit methodology, quality, or national office roles.
- Expertise in international auditing standards and methodologies.
- Experience with LLM-based or agentic workflows, prompt design, or AI-enabled audit tooling.
