Director, Medicare Advantage Strategy

Opportunity

Twin Health is seeking a Director, Medicare Advantage Strategy to bring 10+ years of Medicare Advantage expertise to our growing team. This role will focus on understanding the Medicare Advantage (MA) population, translating insights into product, clinical, operational, and commercial strategies, and representing Twin externally as a thought leader in the industry.

You will partner with Product, Clinical, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and executive leadership to shape Twin’s Medicare Advantage strategy. Your responsibilities include:

• Serving as Twin’s subject matter expert on Medicare Advantage, covering MA members, health plans, care models, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
• Developing a deep understanding of MA members’ health needs, motivations, technology comfort, accessibility, care-seeking behaviors, social needs, and expectations.
• Advising teams on how Twin’s member experience and care model should evolve for the Medicare population.
• Partnering with the Medicare Advantage Product Lead to refine the end-to-end MA member journey, identify gaps, and pressure-test product strategies.
• Monitoring changes in the MA market, CMS policies, health plan priorities, competitive offerings, and emerging care models to anticipate opportunities.
• Providing expertise across key MA domains, including Stars and quality, CAHPS, supplemental benefits, care management, health equity, risk adjustment, utilization, retention, and plan economics.
• Collaborating with Commercial and Product Marketing to align Twin’s value proposition with health plan priorities and competitive differentiation.
• Building and maintaining Twin’s internal MA knowledge base, educating teams on the Medicare Advantage ecosystem.
• Establishing relationships with external experts, health plans, and industry organizations to stay informed on evolving practices.
• Representing Twin externally as a Medicare Advantage thought leader through customer conversations, industry panels, conferences, and webinars.
• Identifying new opportunities for Twin within Medicare Advantage, including populations, partnerships, and care models.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Medicare Advantage, Medicare, managed care, or related healthcare roles, with significant direct exposure to MA.
• Deep understanding of the Medicare population and practical realities of engaging older adults and beneficiaries.
• Strong grasp of how Medicare Advantage plans operate, make decisions, measure performance, and evaluate partners.
• Working expertise across multiple dimensions of Medicare Advantage, such as Stars, CAHPS/member experience, clinical programs, care management, supplemental benefits, risk adjustment, health equity, retention, and regulatory requirements.
• Builder’s mindset: Comfortable designing a better Medicare experience rather than just explaining how it works.
• Strong communicator with executive presence to represent Twin with senior health plan leaders, customers, partners, and external audiences.
• Experience presenting to executive audiences and speaking at industry events, panels, or conferences.
