About the Role: Headway is building a new mental healthcare system by providing the best tools for therapists to run their practices. We are looking for a Director of Clinical Excellence and Education to own network oversight and build/scale Headway's provider education programs. In this role, you will establish the strategy, infrastructure, and content that empower therapists, psychologists, and psychiatric prescribers to deliver exceptional care.
What You'll Do
- Expand and lead the clinical education function: define the vision, develop quarterly roadmaps, and oversee end-to-end execution of all provider education initiatives.
- Design and curate scalable learning experiences across the full provider lifecycle (clinical onboarding, CE/CME, evidence-based practice training).
- Develop targeted education and remediation programs that upskill Headway's 60,000+ providers on clinical standards, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage the LMS and community platforms (e.g., Docebo, Intellum, Canvas) ensuring seamless content delivery and learner tracking.
- Build and sustain a connected provider community through webinars, town halls, and peer learning.
- Establish and own education KPIs, using data to continuously iterate on programs and partnering with the Research team.
What You Bring
- Actively licensed as a therapist, clinical psychologist, Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), or psychiatrist (MD/DO) with 10+ years of clinical experience in mental health settings.
- Deep expertise in clinical education, adult learning, instructional design, and CE/CME accreditation processes.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong data orientation and experience building measurable systems using tools like Looker, spreadsheets, and survey platforms.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset to thrive in a high-growth health tech environment.
Benefits
- Target base pay range: $170,000 - $265,000 per year, plus equity grant eligibility.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, plus HSA/FSA and 401K.
- Work-from-Home Stipend, Therapy Reimbursement, and Carrot Fertility membership.
- 16-week parental leave, Flexible PTO, and 13 paid holidays (including a Holiday Break).
- Fully remote work flexibility.
