About Akuity
With the move to the cloud, Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand, and deploy their Kubernetes deployments via GitOps.
Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.
The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds – if not thousands – of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for enterprises.
Our mission is to simplify the software delivery process so that DevOps and Platform Engineering teams can move fast and deploy code effortlessly without the fear of breaking things.
The Opportunity
This is a hybrid technical role focused on bridging the gap between Akuity and its developer community by combining software engineering with developer relations. Responsibilities include creating technical content like tutorials and demos, providing developer support, gathering feedback for product teams, and engaging with the community at events and online. This role helps drive product adoption by ensuring the developer experience is positive and effective.
What You’ll Do
- Content Creation: Develop technical assets such as code samples, SDKs, demos, tutorials, documentation, and blog posts to help developers use a company’s product.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in online forums, social media, and other community channels to answer questions, provide support, and gather feedback.
- Technical Support: Serve as a point of contact for external developers, helping them resolve technical issues and offering guidance.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at developer conferences, meetups, and workshops, and potentially help organize these events.
- Collaboration: Work with internal product and engineering teams to relay developer feedback and contribute to improving the overall developer experience and tools.
- Evangelism: Advocate for the company’s technology by presenting its value and capabilities to the broader developer community.
What We Look For
Must Have
- Technical Expertise: A strong background in software development to build credible demos and understand developer workflows.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating content, giving presentations, and interacting with the community.
- Empathy: The ability to understand and relate to the challenges and needs of other developers.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to help developers overcome technical hurdles.
- Community Focus: A passion for building and nurturing relationships with developers and contributing to open-source communities.

Akuity
View Company ProfileAkuity (operating under akuity.io, legally Akuity, Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade cloud-native application delivery platform, GitOps innovation pioneer, and continuous deployment orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-visibility Kubernetes fleet management, automated infrastructure auditing, and developer-experience acceleration layer for modern DevOps groups, platform engineering teams, and global enterprises. Co-founded in 2021 by the visionary software architects and creators of the massively successful Argo open-source project—Hong Wang (CEO), Jesse Suen (CTO), and Alexander Matyushentsev (Principal Engineer)—the venture-backed scale-up completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern cloud operations. It targets the critical breakdown points where organizations struggle with vulnerable, high-overhead cluster-side CD setups, complex multi-region Kubernetes deployments, and fragmented developer release pipelines. Moving far beyond traditional, passive continuous integration tooling or high-maintenance legacy deployment agents, Akuity natively unifies enterprise-ready managed Argo CD, advanced deployment analytics, a secure agent-based hybrid architecture, and unified secret management into a single high-availability cloud control plane. Validating its dominant category momentum and deep-tech impact, the high-growth infrastructure leader is backed by top-tier venture capital, having emerged with a $20 million Series A funding round co-led by Lead Edge Capital and KubeFirst, with deep participation from original backing partners including Decibel. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes Akuity Connect, a groundbreaking pull-based agent infrastructure that completely eliminates the need to expose cluster API endpoints to external networks. This secure mechanism allows platform teams to manage and update highly distributed multi-cluster networks while enforcing rigid RBAC access limits, real-time security tracking loops, and zero-trust security profiles with absolute operational correctness and sub-second execution speeds. What sets Akuity apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing complex, home-grown deployment setups with an optimized, fully managed Argo ecosystem that safely separates the continuous delivery controller from target infrastructure; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive declarative GitOps and immediate production cloud execution, the company remains a definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic DevOps and global cloud infrastructure transformation.
