About Roblox: Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences—all created by our global community of independent developers and creators. At Roblox, we are building the advanced tools and engine architectures that empower our creator ecosystem to bring any experience they can imagine to life. Our overarching vision is to reimagine the way people come together safely from anywhere in the world and on any device. We are on a critical mission to connect a billion people with optimism, safety, and civility, looking for exceptional talent to shape the future of human interaction and solve unique community challenges at scale.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly passionate, community-driven, and proactive Developer Engagement Representative to join our International Developer Engagement Team under a part-time remote contract layout. This specialized position is open exclusively to qualified candidates who are physically located in Australia or New Zealand and possess a pristine platform background. Operating within the intersection of relationship management, event architecture, and trust and safety rules, you will act as the principal face and bridge for the Roblox creator community across the ANZ region. Shifting entirely away from basic customer support desks, isolated text moderating, or data entry logs, you will direct a lively regional studio sourcing, technical workshop, and local pipeline laboratory—partnering cross-functionally with International DevRel teams. This position requires an energetic community operator who guides local creator ecosystems fluidly natively using Community Manager strategies, handles multiple overlapping event timelines cleanly in fast-paced setups, and possesses a profound, authentic enthusiasm for empowering the next generation of independent 3D game builders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Community Pipeline Management: Identify, engage, and maintain relationship pathways with high-potential game creators and development studios across ANZ to build a robust regional partner pipeline natively utilizing Community Manager methodologies.
  • Program and Event Architecture: Ideate, plan, and execute high-impact online and offline creator workshops, webinars, meetups, and developer programs from initial concept through to successful execution, measuring milestone metrics cleanly.
  • Moderation & Compliance Advisory: Develop a nuanced, flawless understanding of standard Roblox moderation guidelines and community rules to assist regional developers in maintaining full safety alignment.
  • Localization and Cultural Adaptation: Support ongoing translation and localization workflows, ensuring development tools, regional resources, and team communications are highly accessible and culturally relevant to local developers.
  • Cross-Functional Operations: Follow established internal workflows while actively mapping out opportunities to refine, streamline, and improve team developer engagement strategies.
  • Community Advocacy: Act as a dedicated champion for independent creators, ensuring local developer feedback is cleanly structured and surfaced to core technical product teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A profound, authentic understanding of the Roblox engine, ecosystem dynamics, and active developer community cultures.
  • Exemplary Platform Standing: Must possess a completely clean account history and good standing regarding historical Roblox moderation records.
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communication strengths, paired with excellent relationship-building abilities across both virtual workspaces and in-person professional gatherings.
  • Demonstrated capability to balance multiple operational priorities simultaneously with a proactive, team-first mindset in a fast-changing corporate landscape.
  • A deep, underlying conviction that supporting independent developers and encouraging collaborative technical education is fundamental to enterprise success.
  • Location Context: Position operates under strict remote geographic guidelines open exclusively to operators physically based in Australia or New Zealand.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior professional experience or active participation within gaming communities, virtual game jams, hackathons, or interactive virtual/hybrid event coordination.
  • Early-career professionals or fresh university graduates seeking to launch a trajectory inside international developer relations or the video game industry are highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with community management tools, discord server administration, or structured creator outreach frameworks.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Regional Contract Model: An attractive, flexible part-time contractor engagement built to accommodate flexible schedules and localized remote workflows.
  • Absolute location flexibility within Australia or New Zealand, letting you drive creator growth from your optimized remote environment.
  • Direct professional mentorship and networking avenues inside one of the largest metaverse entertainment networks in the world.
  • A collaborative, high-growth culture where your effort translates directly into visible platform success, creator opportunities, and real-world impact.
