Data Manager

We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to support the effective management, analysis, quality, and use of complex data environments.

In this role, you will work closely with development teams, users, and subject matter experts, supporting data systems, business intelligence solutions, data analysis, and data management initiatives while ensuring strong data quality, security, privacy, and GDPR practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development teams and users in the effective use of data systems
• Create reports and perform data extraction when required
• Provide guidance on data quality and data collection practices
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of data systems
• Provide input on database security and data protection
• Identify, investigate, and support the resolution of data-related issues
• Perform data analysis across large and complex datasets
• Support data mapping, transformation, aggregation, and calculation
• Develop and manage Business Intelligence solutions
• Set up and manage data management projects in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Provide user support and technical guidance on data-related matters
• Produce and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Manager
• University degree with at least 4 years of IT experience, or non-university degree with at least 8 years of IT experience
• Strong background in Computer Science and software development
• Experience in programming and application maintenance
• Excellent knowledge of data management, including data mapping, transformation, aggregation, and calculations across large and complex datasets
• Deep knowledge of SQL
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one data management / data science / BI platform such as Power BI, R, FME, or Qlik
• Experience performing data analysis
• Experience developing and managing Business Intelligence solutions
• Experience setting up and managing data management projects
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Good understanding of Security and Privacy by Design
• Good understanding of GDPR
• Experience providing user support on data-related matters
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence
• Experience with work item management tools such as Azure DevOps
