Data Analyst (Fraud) - PuzzlePlay Platform, Tripledot Studios

Puzzleplay at Tripledot Studios is seeking a Data Analyst to specialize in fraud detection within its user segmentation system. This role focuses on building a system that integrates fraud and activity signals to understand user behavior and inform revenue-sharing decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Regularly review fraud signals, including IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns, to refine distinctions between suspicious activity and legitimate users.
• Own the fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, interpreting signals and monitoring category performance over time.
• Collaborate with the product team to develop fraud verification tools tailored to different markets, currently using FaceTec for facial verification and potentially adding ID scanning or phone verification in other regions.
• Investigate flagged users for manual review, particularly ambiguous cases in the Tremendous queue, and propose improvements to the review process.
• Identify gaps in existing signals and recommend third-party tools for the product roadmap to enhance fraud detection.

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and influence detection/prevention strategies—not just supporting a fraud team.
• Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with an understanding of how evolving tactics impact these decisions.
• The ability to translate analysis into operational fraud controls by working closely with product and other teams.
