Position Overview
We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial, result-driven Country Manager - United Kingdom to serve as our first official UK team hire in a full-time remote capacity. In this high-trust 0-to-1 market launch track, you will partner directly with our corporate founders to build, own, and expand Pear Tree’s business footprint across the United Kingdom from the ground up. Moving completely past passive management templates, this is an execution-heavy commercial position where you will claim end-to-end accountability for winning enterprise clients, designing repeatable go-to-market strategies, and establishing local strategic referral loops. The ideal candidate treats commercial ambiguity as a structural building asset, possesses outstanding B2B negotiation skills, and demonstrates the capabilities to win immediate business independently before building and leading a dedicated regional development cell.
Key Responsibilities
- UK Market Initialization: Launch and scale Pear Tree’s complete commercial ecosystem within the United Kingdom from day one, claiming full operational accountability for geographic revenue benchmarks.
- Inbound Pipeline Conversion: Monitor, process, and close high-value inbound opportunities generated natively across our global marketing channels, client referral networks, and strategic partnership corridors.
- Outbound Commercial Sourcing: Conceptualize, develop, and execute aggressive outbound customer acquisition programs, targeting founders, corporate executives, and business owners across the UK tech and enterprise sectors.
- Go-to-Market Strategy Design: Build repeatable sales process workflows, document localized messaging guidelines, and design market-specific pricing models to expand brand visibility.
- Strategic Alliance Integration: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate high-impact strategic partnerships, industry alliances, and B2B referral networks within the UK corporate community.
- Local Business Representation: Serve as the premier local brand ambassador and point of authority for Pear Tree, building deep professional networks inside regional business environments.
- Team Leadership & Recruitment: Transition the regional office from an individual contributor unit into a structured team, leading the recruitment, onboarding, and training of future UK account managers and growth specialists.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional history running enterprise B2B sales, corporate business development, regional market scaling, or startup commercial acceleration.
- Proven, non-experimental background successfully generating scalable revenue pipelines, managing complex client contracts, and closing deals independently.
- Strong experience handling a balanced portfolio of inbound leads alongside self-generated outbound prospecting workflows.
- Excellent, masterly communication, executive presentation, and relationship-building mechanics, with a native-level command of the English language.
- An entrepreneurial mindset characterized by high personal autonomy, comfort within fast-moving tech conditions, and a motivation driven by complete operational ownership.
- Location Context: Full-time remote-first parameters open exclusively to qualified commercial practitioners permanently based anywhere within the United Kingdom.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience building or scaling an external sales function, international business node, or regional branch office for a staffing, HR technology, professional SaaS, or consulting organization.
- Direct professional network connections or prior history selling workforce solutions or B2B advisory programs directly to corporate executives and small business founders.
- Familiarity with contemporary collaborative cloud software pipelines, digital sales instrumentation, and CRM metrics analysis.
