Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic, growth-oriented Country Leader to spearhead our commercial expansion, investment strategies, and go-to-market execution within India and the wider SAARC region. In this high-responsibility executive seat, you will hold absolute operational accountability for driving Cloudflare’s regional revenue streams and scaling our localized footprint. Acting as the primary point person for all regional functions, you will design, build, and deploy comprehensive GTM programs across Sales, Customer Success, Business Development, Solutions Engineering, and Field Marketing. This role demands an inspiring technical leader who can navigate complex regulatory environments, manage economic development relations, and cultivate C-suite partnerships across the regional cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Go-To-Market Organizational Planning: Drive regional sales growth by leading the strategic alignment and execution of all core go-to-market divisions.
- Regional Operational Governance: Serve as the localized single point of contact for operational concerns, scaling local hiring pipelines while collaborating fluidly with Product and Engineering nodes.
- Talent Pipeline & Succession Architecture: Partner alongside global leadership and recruiting resources to direct local hiring, leadership development, and structural succession planning across regional cells.
- Commercial Cadence Management: Establish and execute rigorous business review loops, covering forecast calls, functional reviews, deep deal triages, and customer account audits.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that global corporate policies, local work authorizations, and country-specific regulatory initiatives are consistently applied and followed by all regional staff.
- Public Relations & Bureau Engagement: Represent Cloudflare at prominent external technology conferences, media interviews, and PR activations while maintaining relations with the Economic Bureau of Development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of verified professional history running enterprise Sales Management, Regional Channel programs, or Senior Executive growth pipelines.
- Deep domain experience operating within the **SaaS, Cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software platform industries**.
- Extensive, preexisting professional networks and established relationships across the SaaS/Cloud community inside the **SAARC region**.
- Exceptional collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal mechanics, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders at all tiers of enterprise management.
- Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with an elite ability to translate technical advantages into compelling business cases.
- Location Context: 100% remote-first operational framework tailored for qualified regional directors permanently based anywhere within India.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with network security models, Edge computing configurations, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), or Zero Trust architecture frameworks.
- Familiarity with U.S. export control laws or navigating the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) parameters.
