About TechnologyAdvice: TechnologyAdvice is a premier, trusted global B2B digital media enterprise on a mission to help corporate technology buyers navigate the complexity and risk of the procurement lifecycle. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and operating as a remote-first tech entity, we manage more than 20 digital publications—including the highly acclaimed developer knowledge hub, DZone—with over 200 global team members across the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines. Repeatedly recognized by Inc. as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies, TechnologyAdvice balances high-velocity media distribution with an award-winning corporate workplace culture.

Position Overview

We are seeking a technically curious, highly structured Content Editor to support the editorial operations and contributor ecosystems for DZone. In this cross-functional role, you will bridge the gap between abstract software engineering concepts and editorial polish—copyediting, vetting, and managing high-signal technical content written for our global developer audience. Beyond daily site content calibration, you will independently pilot contributor-driven commercial content programs from initial project kickoff briefs, through iterative outline reviews, up to final project closeout and multi-channel publication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Editorial Governance: Select, format, and comprehensively copyedit technical web articles and educational blog layouts to ensure alignment with DZone’s strict publishing standards.
  • SDLC Trend Tracking: Research emerging patterns in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), tracking language updates, DevOps frameworks, and architectural innovations to guide technical content planning and email newsletters.
  • Commercial Project Management: Lead end-to-end contributor-driven commercial content projects; vet, commission, onboard, and manage external subject matter experts throughout the content development lifecycle.
  • Contributor Relationship Cultivation: Create and maintain highly collaborative partnerships with technical authors, developers, open-source contributors, and industry engineering professionals.
  • Daily Workspace Operations: Monitor internal editor and support queues, handle contributor tracking databases, eliminate spam entries, and route functional inquiries across appropriate technical teams.
  • Feedback Loop Integration: Provide highly constructive structural and grammatical copy feedback to authors, ensuring complex engineering concepts are translated into readable, clear American English assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of verified professional experience in technical editing, copyediting, or online publishing, preferably working directly within the software engineering or business technology fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Corporate Communications, Publishing, or an aligned linguistic discipline.
  • Outstanding copyediting and proofreading mechanics with a master-level command over American English punctuation, style frameworks, and syntax rules.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity regarding software development topics, cloud infrastructure platforms, and open-source developer communities.
  • Excellent project management, time allocation, and organizational capabilities to balance overlapping deadlines across multiple external contributors simultaneously.
  • Must possess a highly reliable personal computer infrastructure backed by stable high-speed internet data lines and active secondary backup network connections.
  • Shift & Time Parameters: Absolute availability to operate consistently on night shift rosters: 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM PHT (April–October) or 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM PHT (November–March).
  • Location Context: 100% remote working infrastructure and flexible task autonomy open to qualified technical media professionals based within the Philippines.

Preferred Advantages (Nice to Have)

  • An undergraduate degree in or direct hands-on professional exposure to software engineering, software development, or an equivalent technical engineering field.
  • Basic conceptual understanding of structural HTML formatting and content management system layout tags.

What We Offer

  • Monthly Base Salary Range: ₱46,000 – ₱70,000 PHP per month (Final compensation package is calibrated based on technical depth, portfolio review, and local labor metrics).
  • Autonomous remote-first work flexibility supported by our Flex Fridays initiative (providing adapted 40-hour weeks for extra weekend margins).
  • 14 days of annual paid time off (PTO), expanding by an additional 5 days after Year 1 enrollment, plus all regular Philippine government-declared holidays.
  • Full statutory corporate contributions and registration into local structural frameworks: SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF.
  • Comprehensive private healthcare reimbursement plans.
  • Monthly De Minimis allowance benefits including localized corporate rice subsidies.
  • Complimentary access to the Headspace application for wellness support, alongside unique performance tracking bonus incentives for participating in internal monthly speaker series.
