Content Developer for Fintech Engineering Specialization

The Role

You'll design module content, labs, a reference implementation, an evaluation harness, and an instructor guide for the Fintech Engineering Specialization at Jala University.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Experience working on a fraud/risk team at a scalable fintech (e.g., Nubank, Mercado Pago, Rappi, or similar).
• Public writing samples demonstrating technical explanation (e.g., documentation, workshop materials, book chapters, or open-source projects known for their documentation), including the ability to write to publication standards.
• Strong discipline in reproducibility (pinned dependencies, containers, seeded runs, documented decoding parameters).
• Professional proficiency in written English.

Experience

• 5+ years as a software engineer.
• 3+ years in FinTech, payments, or financial services.

Key Technical Requirements

• Experience with real-time fraud pipelines, including streaming, rules-based systems, and ML with strict latency SLAs.
• Integration expertise with fraud providers such as Cybersource, ClearSale, Fingerprint, and Seon.
• Engineering experience with ML, including model integration and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with Feature Stores.
• Knowledge of KYC/AML processes, sanctions and PEP lists, and regulatory reporting (e.g., COAF or UIF).
• Experience with treasury reconciliation (proof of reserves).

Nice to Have

• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Production experience with blockchain transaction monitoring or crypto AML.
• Experience with model explainability in regulated Latin American markets.
